Hello everyone,
I have read this forum for sometime, kinda Meh I've just joined when the site is about to go down... Anyway, I know there have been a lot of questions about pc power consumption. And I generally see much lower watt psu's recommendations here on silentpcreview than other sites like anandtech and overclock. A 400 watt fanless would be so nice lol! But I think it's really not enough for me. Lets quit the crap talk and state the budget / priorities

1055T amd 6 core overclocked to 4 ghz - this site says 313 watts on cpu alone O.O maybe not an efficient overclock due to volt core but I like headroom and I'm not a experienced efficient overclocker:p (
http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/di ... ing_9.html)
Graphic card I mostly buy a used one, 1 generation older for around 120 euros. Which is mostly around the 200 euros range new price (260 gtx is what I own now, but I want to upgrade it soon. Say a GTX 470 / GTX 295 which is old generation but I find them very cheap on used sites but the latter has a 300 watt tdp. If i overclock that aswell I'll probably get to the 450 watts.
I am willing to deliver in on gpu performance (high end cards like 295gtx and hd6970, but not for example the GTX 470) for more silence. I do want to be able to overclock both the CPU and GPU.
The corsair ax 650 seems like a perfect deal after long time of searching forums, but it's not available for another 2 months in the Netherlands it seems... But is 650 watt something that I need?
My Psu will be mounted with the fan sideways so
fanless psu's won't work for me since the convection goes the wrong way (something with seasonic x400: this side up)
My budget is something around 120 euros, but hey! If a 160 psu is worth it's money why not? The PSU will have fresh air intake, and do you ever game without sound / music on? I don't really care about noise when gaming, so any reliable psu with variable fan speed according to temperature will work for me. Modding a new fan in the PSU is no problem for me for low priced PSU's. I don't want to screw my 10 year guarantee on corsair for a stupid fan. Those prices should have the right fans. But OCZ 60 euro PSU with variable fan speed, I'm willing to mod.
Priorities in short:-silence when idle
-enough power for an overclocked 1055t + the 2nd best graphic card (not sli)
-worth the money, can fanmod when cheap, won't with expensive
-modular
-don't care about electrical bills (I don't pay it

), so efficiency I only care about the heat loss and fan noise it needs to cool it down. (f.exp if a unit is very silent but has a bad efficiency and it stays cool I can't care less lol. As long as it's reliable)
PSU's I've read about and think are good but you don't give votes based on my list lol, just your own opinion what fits my story.
Nexus RX-7000 (heard stuff about whines and coils?)
Antec TruePower TP-650 /550
Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 600W (good review on this particular unit but it's said that coolermaster ain't that good a power supply brand)
Corsair Professional Gold AX650 (delivery time is to long)
Seasonic X-660 /560
Corsair Professional Gold AX750 (expensive, do i need 750 watts?)
Cooler Master Silent Pro M500/600 (cheap solution, but only 80+)
Enermax Modu87+ EMG500AWT (coil noise? fan problems at start?)
Lepa G-series G700-MA 700W (same as enermax but different name)
Lol sorry for the big post, I just don't want to hear issues STATE YOUR PRIORITIES AND BUDGET haha.
Have fun and thanks for the replies already^^
Greetings,
Sten (netherlandS)
