WD10EALX and AAM?

Post by rpsgc » Wed Jun 29, 2011 8:11 am

Hi,

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I simply cannot enable/change AAM on my WD10EALX!

WinAAM --> doesn't detect HDD
HDDScan --> says it doesn't support AAM.

I would try Hitachi Feature Tool but somehow I can't boot into to my boot usb flash drive with this Asus board.

Try the latest version of HDTune.

Hitachi Feature Tool doesn't even detect it. So the logical conclusion is that the EALX version (6Gbps) doesn't support AAM! :evil:

Using HDDScan 3.3 I'm able to change the AAM setting on my WD10EALX without a fuss. I'm using the Asus P8H67M-LE motherboard on Windows 7.
