MSI GTX560Ti TFII/OC aftermarket cooler

Post by Matthew9226 » Sat Jul 16, 2011 12:58 pm

Hello.
Decided to ask on this forum also.
I have a MSI gpu as the title says.
I'm getting an Accelero Xtreme Plus sometime during the week after the next.
I've heard that apparently AXP only fits reference design cards.
And the MSI card I've is their own design.
So I'm looking for an answer does it fit my card or not.

And please, leave out the "why you wanna do that" "you'll loose warranty" or other jibberjabber BS.
I'm only interested in the cold hard fact: yes or no.

I don't mind mangling the cooler itself if theres only minor mounting issues.

Unless someone know for sure whether or not the cooler will fit your specific card, Arctic Cooling has a height restriction drawing on their site that might help you to determine if it will fit.

Yeah.
Well I suppose it should fit..
Since the mounting hole pattern is the same as reference, and by looking at a pic of reference 560ti pcb and a pic of msi 560Ti TFII/OC pcb the gpu core itself looks like its approximately in the same position. And that msi card doesn't have stacked dvi/whatever ports so the AXP shouldn't collide on that.
I gotta take a look little more closely on my card's components height and crosscheck with the arctics pdf.
I did send them an email earlier today about this, we'll see what they answer probably on monday.
I'll update here whatever they answer.
