Not bad, that CPU must give off quite a bit of heat. You've obviously put some thought into the use of fans. I hope you get a more workable case some day. ;)

I don't think so! ;-)

Your conventional enclosure gives you no big help for cable management, but it looks tidy the same.

Moreover you have used several not expensive parts, modding them cleanly and extensively, so as you have reach a very low sound level, well, your result is even more remarkable! ;-)

So that good then :) I'm glad you like it. The only thing i will change is the 120mm fan athe back...i need something quieter, i have set mi sights on Kama Flow 900 rpm. As for the case...i wanted something small and simple...and since Ark / Define Mini from Fractal Design are just to expensive for me...this is what i would spend my money on :)

Which only goes down to 720RPM @ 5v.

Nice rig too. :) Does the PSU fan spin up when the rig is under load?

It's an old S12 so it spins all the time. The rig is updated, now there is a CoolerMaster SilentPro M500, Noctua U12P+ Scythe KamaFlow2 900@7V , a 170mm Xigmatek 900rppm in the front @5V, A KamaFlow2 900@7V at the back and a very rare AMD Radeon HD6570 DDR5 low profile with AC L2 Pro...the rig makes apsolutely no noise and the temps are in check...i will post what's new when i get my hands on a camera.

Update...i made some changes:

- plastic stands on the bottom replaced with rubber ones
- front 140mm fan replaced with Xigmatek 170mm @400rpm + added dust filter
- top blower replaced with tower cooler - Noctua U12P
- replaced fans on CPU and back with KamaFlow 2 @900rpm
- old Seasonic replaced with CoolerMaster SilentM Pro 500W (not because of power, it was the least expensive quiet+modular PSU here...)
- put some more graphics power - Gainward GTS 250 Green with AC S1 + SlipStream Slim 1200 @6V
- HDD suspended
- put some nicer color on the front to make the case less dull + replaced original bright LED with a more subtle ones
- ODD thrown out

So - what do you think?

I think it's a real beauty  , that front panel makes me feel like I was 20 again :):):) (.. it sure looks like something from the late 80's)

Very tidy build indeed, kudos for nice pics.

Håx

*just to clarify: I didn't mean to offend with my comment about the impression, I just thought it looked vintage and solid - quite cool looks in its way. Good upgrades too, for silence - grats.
