Opinions on D12SL-12's and D14SL-12's

Post by WARDOZER9 » Tue Dec 06, 2011 7:39 pm

The real questions:
#1: Are the D12SL-12's and D14SL-12's noticeably quiet
#2: Will the horizontal position the D14SL-12 will be in cause a really noticeable increase in noise with their sleeve bearings?
--- I could care less if the position could cause the fans to seize sooner as long as they last a year which is probably as long as I will have this PC at the most.

I just purchased an NZXT M59 to replace my borked FedEx special NSK4400 and figured I'd load it up with fans.

It supports 3x 120mm ( 1x rear, 1x side and 1x front ) and 2x 140mm ( top ).

I don't want to spend a lot on fans but want the system to be as quiet as possible. I also don't like LED's so the side fan is a gonner as soon as the case gets here and I might as well have all fans matching so the rear fan is out as well.

I will be running all of the fans off of the headers on the DFI mobo in my sig with the 2x 140mm fans run off of a 3-pin splitter.
