This came up on the thead for my energy efficient gaming PC in the gallery section and with MikeCs permission I am listing it here so that anyone who might find it useful:

I already tried that with my 5670 months ago, and I discovered that my power consupmtion didn't change even at 0.9v in 3d mode. Don't ask me why... I guess it's a bug in ATT.

It could be to do with stepping of the voltage, I found that it was only when I reduced the voltage to at least 1.000v that I saw a change. Have you tried going lower that 0.9v to see if that has any impact?
