The GTX 680 arrived today and weighs just under 2 lbs ( 843g, to be precise). I was thinking about leaving the drive cage out to improve airflow, but it looks like it'll have to stay to support the weight
The rest of the parts arrive tomorrow.

You might be able to get away with running your Ivy Bridge CPU without a CPU fan. I run a Core 2 Duo (E8400) @ 3.0 GHz on a CM Hyper 212+ with no fan, and I've never had a problem, even when playing games that really stress my Nvidia 560ti (which dumps a fair amount of heat into the case).Kardax wrote:The GTX 680 arrived today and weighs just under 2 lbs ( 843g, to be precise). It's possible, but then I'd have to leave the case fans spinning all the time. Ivy Bridge still needs a little airflow.greggm2000 wrote: You might be able to get away with running your Ivy Bridge CPU without a CPU fan. Using the Noctua U12P SE2 with one fan at the lowest speed is virtually inaudible from outside the case, and allows me to turn off the case fans during light CPU load.
