I'm trying to compare the Corsair Performance Pro SSD and the Intel 520 Series Cherryville SSD.

Here are the links.

Does anyone know how the Corsair Performance Pro stacks up against the Intel 520 in terms of reliability?

Here's a performance comparison at Anandtech's SSD Bench.

Corsair uses Marvell's controller. Crucial's implementation has been very reliable. Don't know about Corsiar. Intel uses a Sandforce controller in the 520. Sandforce reliability has been less than stellar..however, Intel rolls their own custom version of the firmware. If I were to go with Sandforce, I'd use Intel's implementation.

You won't notice any difference between these drives in everyday use.
Reliability and tools are more important.

I myself would choose between the Intel 520 and Samsung 830. Both have good tools and reliability.
Samsung is cheaper, and more square HD size - ie 256-512 vs 240-480
Grab an 830 while you can!

I have the intel 520 240GB - it wouldn't boot until I set the controller to AHCI mode - but you have to make sure you regedit Windows to run in AHCI mode, before you reboot and set the BIOS to it!
