Fan Upgrade for Zalman CNPS10X Performa

Post by whitecastle » Mon Jul 16, 2012 6:22 pm

Hello!

I'm looking for a fan to replace the stock one that came on my Zalman CNPS10X Performa cooler. It runs on 1500 RPM when idling and is rather loud for me. It idles at about 36-40C with a 27 C ambient temperature. I would prefer a fan with PWM.

Case: Antec P280
CPU: Intel i5 2500K OC'ed to 4.2 GHz
GPU: XFX HD6870 ZHFC

I also have a COUGAR CF-V12H as an intake fan and an Antec Tri-Cool as a "middle fan". Should I try the Cougar fan on my heatsink?

The Scythe Slipstream PWM fans seems to have a good reputation.
