Looking to hush up my computer, P280?

I got a PC that I do a good deal of gaming. It's not to bad on noise but i'd like to just try to hush it up a little more. Thinking of a P280, if i go that way how should I set up the fans? What case fans should I get?

A case isn't going to solve the problem. Take a look at what components are making the noise and fix them.

What is your current setup?

I agree, the case has very little influence on the noise level of the entire system. Replacing the noisy components would be more beneficial.

I agree as well. In a gaming system a 'quiet' case may hinder airflow and just mean that you have to run more case fans at higher speeds, which becomes counterproductive.

Why don't you list your current system, case and components. Maybe someone will have other suggestions.

Ok right now I got:
i7 950 with a Scythe Mugen Rev b Cooler
MSI N570GTX Twin Frozr II
Antec Three Hundred Case
Antex power supply of some sort

I gotta replace the case anyways due to the front panel inputs are crap and always break. Also was looking for something with USB front panel 3.0

To me the case fans are make the most noise.

So the front panel inputs are always bad? Do you see other have that problems or just yours?

Get the Antec Solo with two front 120mm fans and one back 120mm fans.
Get the Seasonic X 650 PSU. Most of the time the fan will be stopped, but it will kick in when and if you need it.
Replace all your fans with undervolted Nexus 120mm running at about 700 rpm.
Then experiment by leaving just a single fan on the CPU heatsink and a single front fan.

It's not that they are broke out of the box but they break out of use. I use the front panel a lot. Antec has been been good on there case and had shipped me out 3 of em over the years as replacements at no cost to me. I think I'm just using it more then the price range of the case was made for
