Alternative fan for Hyper EVO 212

Post by majax79 » Thu Jul 26, 2012 4:18 pm

I'm building my 1st PC ever and I’ve been looking at the Hyper 212 EVO for an aftermarket heatsink. However, I have a question.

1. I’ve read that the Hyper 212 EVO fan is flimsy and might make too much noise for my liking. I was thinking of buying a Gentle Typhoon fan but I don’t know which one to buy. Could you recommend one?

First most important aspect in the parts I buy is quality. Second is the noise, or lack thereof. I'd really appreciate any help.

Here are the products I’ve selected so far for my 1st PC build:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: ASUS Z77 Sabertooth

An undervolted Nexus will do... or the slowest Scythe GT you can find.

The Sabertooth has a tiny fan onboard. Look into viewtopic.php?f=28&t=64790
