Anyone from US willing to help?

Post by Cov » Sat Aug 04, 2012 12:31 am

Hi!

Not sure whether I'm allowed to ask here, but I just try & see.

I'm after a small bag for my camera (Sony NEX-5N incl. 16F28 Lens), couldn't find any better case than the Incase CL58055 (videoclip).
It costs $39,95 at Amazon or Zappos.

Problem is, this bag is not available anywhere in Europe and none of the retailers ship this item to Germany.

Question: Would anyone living in US be willing to buy this bag for me and send it forward to my address?
Of course I would transfer the cash via PayPal first.

Thanks!

I am not volunteering, but I bet you would get more results if you offer a bounty.

I don't have a clue. Depending on how important it is to you, I would offer a little too much as opposed to a little too little.

You might even want to offer a reverse service to others. There are a number of PC products that are not available in the US that might be of interest to US members of this forum. You might even be able to do a swap.

You might also try craigs list.

Hi, that's a good idea!
Well, I don't mind offering anyone the reverse service, as long as I get paid in advance.

Hey that's amazing - I did not find this retailer before.
Have registered just now to place an order, but unfortunately it's sold out.

Hi, I found the ebayer called blacklabelstreetwear before, but I was afraid of having to collect from a custom office.
Everything bought from outside of the European Community with a value of more than 22.- Euro is subject to import tax.

Let's see:
The Incase bag cost $29.99
Shipping is $14.99
------------------------------------
Total is $44.98 ... which converts to approx 36.- Euro

I think I'm going to order right now.

Thanks

Unfortunately you can't both get paid in advance. Maybe you can both run your own side through your respective ebay accounts to keep each side honest.

Hi, I think I used the wrong words.
What I meant was, I don't mind sorting out any forwarding of goods (anytime) - without getting a favour in return.
By the way, I have now ordered the bag from a retailer in Los Angeles. Might take a few weeks to arrive.

Today I found another nice bag by accident with very similar dimensions.
It's the LowePro DashPoint 20, but cause it's brand new, it's not available yet.

Hi, I ordered this case on August, 05 from Los Angeles (California) and received in on 18 2012 in Germany (Europe), that has taken 13 days.

Here are a few pictures of the Incase CL58055 inkl. Sony NEX-5N:

Looks nice! And about the right size for my camera set-up, too.

I have a Panasonic LX-5 with 52mm adapter and two filters (UV & circ. polarizer).

I've been looking at a Sony NEX-5N, but waiting to see what the F5 looks like, and what new lenses are in the pipelines.
