Modded my antec PS will it run too hot?

I bought an antec SLK2600AMB with a 300 watt true power PS. When I first started the machine up the PS fan was fairly quiet (fan speed approx 1500 rpm). After about 10 minutes the power supply fan goes up to 1800-1900 rpm and is very noticeable.

I took the power supply apart and put one of the zalman adjustable speed controllers in line with the PS fans. I turned the speed controller to the max postion. The fan now starts out about 950 rpm and maxes out at about 1475 RPM.

The fan is very quiet but I am concerned that the PS may run to hot. Any thoughts?

question dont all antec true power psu's come as 330, 380, 430, ect. but no 300, unless u have the 330 one, i dont think its an antec true power, maybe just a regular antec?

It is a 300 watt antec smart power not a true power.
