Macho Rev A install on an 1155 MB
The directions are not clear on whether or not to use the "755 backplate cap"? Is it only used in 755 mb installs, or all? The only post I have found on the subject give conflicting answers... thanks

It should only be needed for LGA775, since the later Intel sockets already have an integrated metal plate (not a backplate though) behind the CPU socket to fill that gap.

I jist installed macho A yesterday in my rig with gigabyte mobo, s1155.
No need to use this little plate. It is only for older 755.
