Hey Folks,
Looking to make a new machine, have all the components picked that I have used previously. But on a few websites I see the AX850 listed as CMPSU-850AX A. Does anyone know if the additional A in the model number is significant? If it's still made by Seasonic I'm not that concerned, but I don't want to buy a $200 PSU that isn't what I'm expecting. And I can't find any differences online, even Corsair doesn't mention the CMPSU-850AX A.
Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Don't know about the A - doubt they'd change the OEM without changing the model number itself. Why do you need 850W?

Don't need 850 watts. But I need to get something local because I need it tomorrow and I can only get Corsair locally. Otherwise I would get one of the other recommended PSUs. They are out of the 650watt and I can get the 850 for $30 cheaper than the 750.

For anyone interested I did pick up the 850AX from a site that listed it as CMPSU-850AX A and it is the same power supply. No where on the box (or the unit from what I could see) is it listed with the additional A in the model.
