I've got this here case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811119068
I'd like to replace the rear fan (120mm) and add a fan to the side vent (80mm) as another intake. I'm wondering, is a side fan going to make much of a difference either way?
I'm looking for a good balance of air flow to quietness, with an emphasis on reduced noise. I figured Noctua was a good buy, even though the color clashes with my case. I think I saw the Scythe typhoon was also really good in one of the previous match-ups, but I'm open to any and all suggestions.

I would just go for a Nexus BASIC D12SL-12 120mm.
Re: Looking for advice on fan replacement
What about an 80mm fan as a replacement for the front case fan? Or is that unneeded?

No i am not in favor to use 80mm fan with 120mm. It is better to use 120mm to take expected results.
Re: Looking for advice on fan replacement
I don't know if the case has screw holes for a 120mm fan.
