Any problems with the MCX4000 heatsink?

Post by tcoma » Wed Jan 08, 2003 4:16 am

I'm building a quiet system and am going to use an Intel MICRO ATX motherboard(d845gerg2 INTEL) and case(IN-WIN V500p). Anybody know of any problems fitting the MCX4000 on a 478 micro ATX INTEL motherboard. I emailed the company but they said they could not guarantee a fit. That seems odd since on their website is says "The MCX4000™ is compatible with all Intel® Pentium® 4 motherboards using the socket 478 form factor. " Thanks.

The Thermalright AX478 firs fine as does the Zalman 6500cu. The latter is still the best low airflow P4 HS I've tried.
