Well, probably the topic is wrong/misleading but when I read sentences like these:

1 - «"A" in "dB(A)" stands for "acoustic", i.e. it is within the part of the dB range that your ears can perceive.»

---------

2 - «You actually suggested inserting a graph with spectral profiles in a review?

People cannot decide "if the sound is good or not" by looking at such a graph, not only because it will not tell you anything of actual relevance but because, well, they cannot read it. Aside the fact that only a handful people can actually read such a graph, do you realize the kind of equipment that is required to generate it? Space aside, we are talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars.

This is absolutely out of the question, sorry.»

---------

I am literally thrilled.
Is my not so good english to mislead my bad feeling about? Please, let me know.

If I'm not wrong the above quoted sentences should come from E. Fylladitakis, the new "PSU and cases editor" at Anandtech.

I think you're absolutely right.

The first quoted statement is pure ignorance, and pretentious.

The second statement can be forgiven if he's not at all familiar with this website, but it's just as pretentious.

I seem to have annoyed some people by posting my opinion of Anandtech a while back. I wouldn't trust them for anything.
Obviously I'd trust their noise evaluations a lot less than most of their stuff. Not because of the defensive opinionating of a single reviewer but because they obviously did not have the gear, the experience or the commitment required last time I looked their reviews. Are they trying to do serious noise evalutions now? It used to be that they didn't even try.
