How about a review on the Zalman Heatpipe HDD Cooler 2M-2HC1? This unit is supposed to reduce HDD vibration and noise while keeping the temperature in check and installed in a 5.25" bay.

How about reviewing the Thermaltake Lanfire VM2000 case? It has 4 fans, 2 90mm and 2 80mm, each with 21db (apparently), which seems like it would add up to 27db, which seems fairly quiet. No site I've seen seems to seriously review the sound levels of this case, more like an afterthought.

More HD's. I'd like to see the Hitachi 7K250, and new Raptor tested. I know they are no Samsung or Seagate, but maybe with suspension and enclosure they could be almost as quiet.

I'd also like to see a shoot out between the Artic VGA cooler, and that newer Zalman Heatpipe the ZM80C-HP.

I'd also like to see a review on how to build the quietest PC from stock parts. All parts that are readily available to everyone. Along with 3 different levels of quiet based on price. i.e. Basic, Intermediate, and Maximum, or whatever.
Also I guess it would be ideal to include some modding tips to squeeze the most out of each rig, but ones that are optional for those faint of heart.
I found that when I was new to this site, there was so much great info, but it was all over the place, and remember thinking that it would be great if there were some basic example to build off of.

I would simply LOVE a review of the newly released HUSH ATX system: A completely passively cooled, low profile P4-based system. Something kick-ass for the living room

I'd like to see this reviewed, my friend has it and says it's quiet. He bought it for the high 5v current.

I would like more reviews of fan controllers like the new enermax one i considered buying. Theres like 10 controllers out there and youuve only reveiewed 3. At the least i would like to have a list of which fan controllers are VR and which are PWM.

I'd like to see more cases reviewed but I'm biased toward cases. I have a hard time accepting that the Evercase ECE4252 is still the top dog. There just doesn't appear to be anything special about this case. I don't see why it's all that different than a bunch of other cases with 80mm intake and exhaust. Specifically I'd like to see reviews on the Antec 660, 630, and 635. These mid sized cases are a good comprimise in the size department.

I'd also like to see more video card reviews and/or the passive cooling solutions for video cards. You could say there ins't much to be said about a card that has zero fans but how about something like finding the most powerful passively cooled video card out there?

Actually Mike, I think 19dB is quite possible for a 70mm fan spinning at that speed. Don't forget that FOR A GIVEN ROTATION SPEED, a smaller fan will be quieter than a bigger one. Case in point: The Papst 4412F/2GL 120mm fan spins at only 1600 RPM, but is 26dB--louder than your Panaflo, even though it is spinning about 300 RPM slower.

As we all know however, the reason to use bigger fans is NOT because they are quieter at a given rotational speed, but because they have a higher flow-to-noise ratio. I just ordered a Nexus AXP-3200--that's why I noticed this.

Would it be possible for MikeC to do a review of 120 mm fans? I've read
the various reviews posted by other people on SPCR and they vary so
much in methodology and fans tested its hard to draw a conclusion as to
the quietness and cooling of the fans. The Panaflo seems to be the
consensus choice for 80 mm fans but there doesnt seem to be one for
120 mm fans. I'd like to see a comparative review of the Evercool, Pabst,
Acoustifan, Panaflo, Enermax, Nexus, NMB, and other 120 mm fans mentioned
on this board. It would be nice to see a consenses reached for the 120 mm
fans so I and others would know which ones to buy.

Speeze FalconRock heatsink for Athlon XP. For a cheap ($9) heatsink and fan, this is a nice heatsink with a smooth running metal fan housing (plastic blades). I have three of these, along with three Arctic Cooling Copper Silent which I use in my Folding farm. I think the Speeze deserves to be listed alongside the AC's for quiet on the cheap.

Yeah i would like to see that review too as well as the 420W fanless psu.

Also a fan roundup - especially interested in 120mm fans.

Kostik did an excellent review, and that comes through clearly -- even with the Google translation.

The Zalman review translates pretty well. The Seasonic SS 460W translated review starts off a little odd though

For me, testing the difference between a suspended HDD and a suspended HDD in Zalman was exactly what I wanted to see! The only thing better would be a larger review of more enclosures and silencing attempts to compare at once or at least a review of a suspended enclosure to see if enclosures can actually create more noise (when suspended) like the Zalman did. If enslosures suspend well, then a comparison of them may be in order or a review of an enclosed, suspended Raptor

Aero Cool HT-101 has already been tested as remarkably silent (with low speed fans) and highly efficient, besting even SP-97 and CNPS7000Cu (with high speed fans).

Thermaltake's Tower112 is a larger version of the HT-101. The Tower112 is the copper version of the 640g Silent Tower - add 2 fans and it may well top the 914g 6500A-Cu
