Recommend making the date format international-friendly. Not everyone uses MM-DD-YY. Justin_R, would you be just as happy with only month and year? A 3-character month abbreviation? ie. Oct '04 or Mar 2004? Or does adding the day of the month help as well?

International friendly is a good idea. I don't know if there's any way to get phpBB to handle that. (Probably not, since the articles aren't kept under the Forums. phpBB, of course, does do international dates in its posting times, etc.). I suppose the day of the month really isn't important, though, so "Oct 2003" or whatever would work.

Seems useful to me to have at least month and year (I agree the day isn't critical) so that one can judge the relative age of the article easily.
