New project - p212_villinURE212 :-)
9 of my 14 clients have been blessed with a new protein, p212_villinURE212. I know it's new because F@H LogStats wasn't showing any points for these until I did an Update (which now works, BTW). EMIII shows these as being worth 75 points, but according to F@H LogStats, and confirmed against Stanford's Currently Running Projects, 160 points is correct. If this is true, and these WU's are really worth 160 points, I am going kick some major butt over the next 24 hours. In fact, I suspect Stanford's page is wrong, because I'm seeing some outrageous numbers for these WU's. I am averaging just under 900 PPD over the last 7 days, but according to LogStats, I am now doing over 1300 PPD (!) and that's with one of my clients working a TINKER!

Yeah - I've got one. But emprotx.dat is mightily confused: yesterday's version has entries for 160 points, 75 points and 32 points, and right at the moment qd is picking up 6.4 points (cause it thinks it is P212_1fsvunf300) so my XP2700 is currently producing a whopping 0.2 points/hour according to qd

75 points seems to make more sense for p212_villinURE212 (EMIII shows 75 pts.) I'm getting this on mine:
30.5 hours - T'bred 2400+ (running at 2.1) ~ 400 ppw
32.7 hours - Barton 2500+ (oem speed) ~ 380 ppw
My 2.8C is having trouble running p212 with another wu at the same time. Over 32 minutes per frame, or about 54 hours to complete.

I updated EMIII with the Latest EM Protein Data file and it is now showing these as worth 160 points. I am not complaining! If I get enough of these in the next 7 days, I will be red!

Only have 1 so far on my Barton... Looking good for over 900PPW if the 160 is really true. I think there was one on my P4 this morning, but it was still at 0% after 6 hours of processing. So stopped it and ran the alternative F@H client (from when the SSE2 proteins were around), which has a 33 pointer at only ~500PPW.
I'm selling off a motherboard and my XP2400+, and expect production to keep on slowing as the weather improves. I did some audio recording yesterday and with 5 PCs, amp, mixer, FX, etc my room got rather hot!

I try to keep and eye on folding-community.org since that's the closest one can get to the Pande Group itself. Vijay Pande himself is seen there frequently.mas92264 wrote:v00d00 at folding-community.org sez:
Following up on David's post over there (mercy, this guy's everywhere!)They are currently worth 160 points, but will likely drop down to 100 or so at some point.

I also check in on our closest competitors forums, offer a little help, a few taunts...

I got two of these... EMIII is quoting a 38 minute frame time (they're each being crunched on a Celeron 1.8 ). Looks like my averages will drop a bit for a while.

Man, I am going to take a freaking BEATING today. Even if I get a 160 pointer in just under the wire, I STILL won't make 500 points today. I should get at least 1400 tomorrow though! I'm tempted to shut down that client for 5 minutes to make sure the WU doesn't get credited until tomorrow, just so I can have an even BIGGER day.

Wednesday will be HUGE. I posted a whopping 312 points today, vs my average before today of just under 900, but I should submit something like NINE 160 pointers on Wednesday plus a 71 point Tinker, plus some other smaller WUs. I figure 1600 at least. [Edit: 1708, at least]
I now have these on 10 of 14 clients.

These units are definitely carrying a "premium". One of my 3200+ Barton's is showing just short of 1000 PPW (993.5) with one. That's ~40% higher than normal. Each of two P4's with HT has one plus another WU, and each machine is putting up well over 1K PPW.
Unfortunately I am down to 5 of these.

What is funny is that my XP 2200+ (1.77 GHz) shows 757 PPW which is very close to your Barton. Figure those perf ratings after all.
993 / 757 = 1.31
2200 * 1.31 = 2882 which means that what AMD thinks is Barton 3200+ is in fact Barton 2800+ taking this WU as a measuring tool.
I know I know FAHLogStats lies about PPW and all that. I just couldn't resist not to stomp on AMD

I got me one now.
EM111 says 48:48 for its first guess on WU time.
And 29mins per frame.
On a 2400+ running stock in a board that doesn't support the XP bit.
Looks like time for an investment
EDIT: Just got up and checked F@H Log and it has taken 23:09 for last few frames.
The comp. is left on with nothing running except F@H, anti virus, firewall, MBM (Meltdown protection)and broadband connection overnight.
Quite a difference considering I am 'only' on the WWW, with Outlook running and EM111 as extra's for the 29mins per frame.
EDIT2: cause I said '23mins per WU' if only

Nevermind... I updated the protein data file and it now shows 160 points.Hortalonus wrote:I just got one of these and EM3 is reporting that it is now worth 75 points... I'm glad I got a few while they were worth 160!

Edit: This next statement is NOT correct. Read the next post for the official statement.ColdFlame wrote:Do they give me 160 when they issue me a WU or when I submit a completed WU back? I'd say when I submit so the WU that I have on my box folding as we speak is worth 135 points now and not 160.
GO BUCKS!!!!
Edit2: Turns out this next statement IS correct. Links and quotes are in a later post.
The assignment server knows what the WU was worth when it was assigned, and it knows when it was assigned.
