Did you really spend $700 on a case??? How?? Is it gold plated?

Actually it was a lot easier than I thought..but yes... and no it is not gold plated...just started adding the mods I wanted and it came to that...I am no good with a dremel and that type of thing so I have to pay for it...All the fans are aluminum tho..120 and 80 mm's, Lian Li PC 70, large side window with 120 mm fan and a 120 mm blowhole...the thing that ran it up was the scoop on the bottom of the front of the case....about 170 bucks there, but I can't do that sort of thing...so....A couple questions first.......

but on the PSU, I will be running a Barton processor, and an Nforce 2 mb, Canopus DVstorm, dvd burner, dvd RAM burner, and so on...have the enermax 465 but that thing is waaaay too loud...t

A 300 Watt should run that computer fine. See the sticky's at the top of the Power Supplies forum. Someone listed their DVD-RAM + CD Burner system running fine.
If you insist on having a 400 watt, go for the Seasonic SS-400, which is one of the best units on the SCPR charts.
BTW: I have a modded Antec 300 watt. I cut out the stamped grill in the back, and put in a controlled PC PnC Silencer.

I can post a pic of the case when I get it...but it is a Lian PC 70 with a large side window, 120 mm fan in it and the blowhole...4 fans in the rear, and two in the front, all these are aluminum... the front two will be done as in the bottom picture Here 3.5 bay 3 rocker switch panel, 2 blue cathodes, and grills all the way around.....the front scoop-the 2 fans as shown in the link above, that are at the bottom of the front, are where the costs got so high, because of the detail and labor involved....
This case will be with me for a long time, even with the Hammers coming out, so I wanted to get something I could live with and not have to buy one again...and as I said, I am no good at all with dremels or anything of that nature, so trust me, it is best I pay for this type of work....t[/u]

Tomshardware.com has a recent review of 21 or so PSUs that provides you with the info needed to calculate your maximum potential power draw for a modern system, although he misses speccing out the 9700 pro or the new Geforce FX video cards, the use of which will increase power drain substantially over the Geforce 4 4600 he uses in his example. Remember to leave overhead if you want to overclock - I was reading on the Via forums about huge problems those with high-end video cards encountered with crashes and infinite looping when trying to oc recent Athlons with poor quality and/or inadequate (300 watt and lower) PSUs. Upgrading the PSU nearly always fixed their problems.
Here's my thinking, which might help you: For my own build I am choosing between the Seasonic 400, Ultra-QuietPC 460, or Antec Truepower 470. A QuietPC reseller who works in the audio field told me not to bother spending the big money for the Ultra-Q model as an Antec would be virtually as quiet. Someone in another thread said he didn't find the Ultra-Quiet 400 watter very quiet at all. The Seasonic would no doubt be the quietest of the bunch but it would barely meet my 100% load requirement on the combined 3.3 + 5v rails - 180 rated vs 172 max draw - not much headroom for overclocking and newer, faster video cards in the next few years.
