How to avoid CD-ROM vibration

I bought a new CD recorder (AOpen 4048), screwed it into my computer's 5,25" bay, but for some strange reasen it makes big vibration (cd rom itself is quiet, it also features some speed lowering technology to avoid noise). I am wonderig if there is any solution to stop vibration?

You're sure it's a vibration, and not the usual jet engine noise present in a 40/12/48 CDR? If it is vibrating unusually, something is probably offbalance inside, and that doesn't bode well for the life of the drive.

I know it's not really what you were asking but I get round this by copying my CDs to the HDD.

If you use winXP you can choose the writting speed from the drive's properties.

It IS vibration, because it is vibrating even with no cd in the drive. I guess I have to make some kind of suspension for it. I double checked everything and found out that CD drive is causing the whole case to vibrate.
