The bug has me!!!

Post by toonz » Mon May 17, 2004 3:04 am

Well as some of you know I'm a relative newbie to this Folding thing... but the bug must've bitten me hard!
I've had my Silent Athlon1800+ running pretty much 24/7 for a week or so, and now, I've got my Windows server (Athlon 750MHz) running 24/7, and Mum's PC running with sherduled task on idle (P4 2.4GHz) and my work PC running it overnight (P4 2.8GHz). Should help the team a bit!

Trying to figure out what other PC's I can use...

With that sort of attitude I expect I might see you go by me some time in the not too distant future. I've got a bit of a lead in the mean time though.

Folding can be fun, and the challenge of increasing your production has become somehting of an obsession with some members, not to mention any names. I just do what I can with the hardware I have at my disposal but I'm sure if you go looking that there are plenty of machines you can bring to the cause. With an automated service installer at hand you might be surprised just how many machines can be borged ;)

Anyway, have fun.

Nice one toonz, 523 points last week... and thats before you borg !!! 8) 8)

Tell you what's even more satisfying though....

Getting your mates addicted  ... I mean 'Showing them the light'...

And watching them get addicted  ,
just drop an occasional.. "Jeez, your doing mighty fine, a couple more weeks like the last and you'll be in #** place, with page X only so and so off"

Best of it is that they give thanks for the info. you give, completely unaware of the addiction that grows within them because of you.

Pass them a couple of their certificates as they happen (100,200,500 etc.) helps the bug bite 8).

Just to inspire you a little, at the moment there are 20+ people on the first page alone on your overtake list 8) 8) 8)

And that's before your additional firepower really shows it's points.

Way to go top Guy.

Expect to see you on my threats list soon. 8)

Regards

Pete

P.S. If you add the Sig like at the bottom of Michael_qrt or my posts
you get to watch your progress in yet another way 8)

Let's see, toonz is up 7 today to #245. His 24hr average is 94, making him still "black" on EOC Stats.

toonz, I expect you to be "teal" (125 PPD average) within a couple or three days, OK? ;)

Image

Is got by adding :(use copy/paste)

[img]http://www.liquidninjas.com/dc/ln_dc_si ... team=31574[/img

with an ' ] ' at the end, with no space, to the signature box on/in your profile page.

It should be 'global' and show up on all the posts you have made.

Pete

P.S. Dave, O Glorious Moderator, would it be a good idea to add this somewhere in the stickies?

Just had an email from my good friend who's known to always go to bed relatively early:
Peter

What the hell have you done!!!

I am sitting here (slightly pissed) at 10.20pm on a weekday night checking my F&H position. I have just gone up to 218, but still behind the brilliantly named "Sir Retard"!

Let's see if we can't sort that out early tomorrow.

Bye

John

Well you've gone and caught me already! Didn't take you very long, although you are producing twice as fast as me!
