ASUS Vento 3600... Update: and Vento 7700!!!

Post by Mats » Sat Jan 08, 2005 7:56 pm

...i dunno.
At first I thought that cpucity.co.uk have started selling vacuum cleaners...

I do think that it can be a fairly cool running case, just like many others. They are available right now!

But just look at it!!!

Maybe something for those want to upgrade from their Tt Xaser... ...king for a day, fool for a lifetime...

Anyway, the green one is the ugliest by far.

ps. I'll probably eat my hat when MikeC calls it "the best case of the year" after reviewing it!

Update: New Vento 7700 model.

I really hate to admit it, but I'd like to see one of these up close.

Kind of like a moped - fun to ride, just don't let your friends catch you

lol @ the thread so far....

I'm with wooglin on this one (like the analogy), It looks sortof interesting to me. I dont mind crazy shapes so much as bling or busy trim and thankfully this has none of that. I doubt it'll be available in the US though, where bling rules supreme. "King for a day, fool for a lifetime" may indeed be apt in this case however.

A review panning the case, as if the looks werent enough.

One would think that something more interesting than a single 80mm fan was happening in the front...

FYI, the Vento is based on the Evercase 42x2 chassis.

....and now we also have the Vento 7700! Didn't really think it needed a new thread.

Glad I don't have a Vento. Just a plain Ever Case 4252. Same internals, but without the stupid looks. The 7700 is even fuglier though - Asus have topped themselves.

Looks like a cross between an old iMac and the old SGI Indigo case design.
