You know it's nice to be helpful.....post photos of interesting items, but. IMHO, there is no reason to post pictures of that size, none at all.
The first photo I got to load (modem) was over 1mb. And it did not need to be. There was nothing about the photo that required high-resolution. Reducing that photo to about 50k would speed everything up, and still look the same on a monitor.
But thanks for the warning. Next time I won't view such a post..... |

1MB?! huh.. The biggest picture is aprox. 150KB that said! I`m not SO much of a rookie when it comes to picture compressing. 640x480 is acceptable in most other forums, but I must clearly have missed that part when i "read" the SPCR forum policies. (99,9% of all new forum members have read the policies before posting in any forums statisticly)
Regarding the resolution.. yes it`s important. Details is of much help for a person that would wish to make his own copy of any of the two coolers. Quite helpful in my opinion! (That`s why I post them anyway). But I see your point in rather posting them as /URL`s than /img
BTW, envy is a normal human reaction But jokes aside, what did you think about my work so far? |

Artic, download that first pic to your machine and check it's size. It's over 1 meg. _________________ Senior Contributing Writer, SPCR |

Most of the work is done by hand. Will run test of the heatpipe cooler later this week.
Also expecting Asetek Micro to arrive tuesday, all components incl. custom RAM cooler will be tested thogeter in a closed case in passive mode. 120mm PSU fan creating all the needed airflow trought ducting system..
..in a much overclocked system that is!

Very, very clean work. I've been looking for a better NB cooler for my 3 Gigabyte NF4-SLI boards for some time now. Pitty I don't have the time or skills to do something like this. How did you do it? How long did it take? What would you charge _________________ A64 6000+, GF 7950GT, 4GB DDR2-1000, Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4, Auzentech X-Plosion 7.1, 3Ware 9650SE-16ML, 2x 74GB Raptors, 6x 750GB 7200.10s, Antec Nine Hundred, Samsung SATA DVD-RW, Seasonic M12 700W, Logitech G15, Razor Copperhead, Vista Ultimate |

| How did you get the heatpipes? Have been trying to get hold of heatpipes, but not been able to find a dealer willing to sell in smaller quantities. |

Looks great. Once the silencer is installed the true genius on your NB cooler is revealed. What's the green heatsink for, RAM? _________________ A64 6000+, GF 7950GT, 4GB DDR2-1000, Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4, Auzentech X-Plosion 7.1, 3Ware 9650SE-16ML, 2x 74GB Raptors, 6x 750GB 7200.10s, Antec Nine Hundred, Samsung SATA DVD-RW, Seasonic M12 700W, Logitech G15, Razor Copperhead, Vista Ultimate |

Yes, that green thing is a ram-cooler, you can`t run UTT-mem @high speed/volt w/o cooling it! Made it a couple of weeks ago, link: http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15759
The finished system will overclock very hard, it`s a nearly silent gaming rig.

ArcticOC: Are you the only one here that uses the Vapochill Micro? I'd really like to see a review here at SPCR... The only thing i've seen so far is a short preview at The Inquirer and when compared to Zalman 9500. None of those tests look reliable to me... |

Your paintskills maybe, your cable work definitely (very neat in the photos), but not your spelling! There are two typos on that diagram
Then again, judging from the extension on your URLs, English may be a second language - I'd hate to think how badly I'd spell in a second language |

In english: I really belive you have had some typos if you where to write in Norwegian |

WOW did the ZM80D-HP need any modding to work like that? By looking at it it would only need to drill two new holes for the screws. am i right? I also have the same model of mobo, and so what i only really need is a new cpu heatsink as that wont fit with a 7700Cu. so where can i get that heatsink? the Micro i mean, i should probably ask the Finnish importer of AseTek products. (Here we go again.... )
I have a ZM80D-HP in use, and a AC freezer 64 i dont use... I amazed it fits Truly very very nice work! What exactly did you do to mount the heatsink on the mobo? drill holes and make threads in the heatsink base and use the stock zalman mounting brackets? How much does the heatsink weigh when cutted like that? sorry for all the questions...

Yikes! I think they used less metal to make the Brooklyn Bridge!
Seriously, it takes some skills to do that quality of metalwork, but I can't help feeling when your computer is more aluminium than silicon something has gone seriously wrong somewhere. Good job. |

I could tell right away from the "kromglans" that you were scandinavian.
Saw your rigg earlier by the way at xtremesys. Nice work with the Nb cooling. This kind of work I is my coup of tea.... Good stuff indeed
But your psu most get HOoooT!
And I have had the Micro once as my old Abit board couldn't have TT coolers (TT was my favourite at the time). And to be perfectly honest I didn't like it to much (understatement). Now I use sunbeam/tuniq. Which has Magic performance.. just magic.... Fan on 1000rpm I get about 44C on load with my Toledo@2,65Ghz With the Micro I got that temp with the "high end fan" on 12volts which is about 3000rpm and that with the Toledo in idle!
And that "high end fan" isn't quiet at any voltage. On 12 volts it sounds like a blow dryer and just the bearing noise alone might raise Harald Blåtand back from the dead.
It can push quite an amount of air though _________________ "People who enjoy waving flags
