Finally done with revision 1. Tidy cable management is a real pain. You guys make it look real easy, but it's not. Will probably take a few more revisions before I got a good and tidy system.
Crappy Upper Picture
Crappy Lower Picture
(Sorry about the rotten picture quality. They are taken with my cellphone camera. I'll try to get some better ones soon)
Antec p180 w/2*Akasa AMBER, 1*B/W Nexus
Antec Phantom 500 w/custom cable sleeving
ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe
Atlon64 X2 4800+ w/Scythe Ninja
2*Corsair XMS 3200C2 (getting expanded to 4* soon)
GeForce 7800GT w/AC NV Silencer
WD Raptor 74GB
Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 400GB
Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 80GB ( Noisy :/ )
The 4 pinmotherboard connector is impossible to get under the motherboard because of the 8 pin server connector on the same wire. Thinking about getting a extender from a normal 4 pin drive plug to the 4 pin mb plug and routing it across the roof along with the fan wires.
Shorter SATA cables will also help a bit.
The extender cables for the fans will probably end up under the motherboard in revision 2 also. |

nice, that should be a VERY quiet system. i like your PSU sleeving. would it be possible to run the 4pin mobo plug in that little space between the video card and the motherboard?
what kind of temps do you get?
is that the nexus in the bottom near the PSU? or is the nexus used as an intake in the top section? _________________ AMD64 3200 w/ Zalman 7700AlCu @ 5v (900rpm)

I'm looking at that possibility along with using a converter and pulling it along the roof.
idle: ~36C CPU / ~45C GPU (Idle overnight)
load: ~60C CPU / ~60C GPU (Farcry at high quality + distributed.net client in the background (both cores))
Atm. i'm using 2 Ambers in the upper chamber both pulling air out, and a nexus in the lower cooling the HDs/PSU. |

Doesn't look possible with the A8N32 motherboard. To many capacitors along with the NV Silencer which is close to the motherboard on that edge. Or atleast i won't force it there. To tight for my comfort. |

Is a ninja heatsink without a fan really enough to keep a dual core cpu cool? I have a x2 +3800 with the arctic cooling pro64 heatsink with fan. The fan is near silent, but I'd rather cool the cpu without a fan. My other question, what if I only use the upper hard drive chamber, and not the lower one at all. Could i keep the lower chamber fan off completely? Thanks
