Whoever wrote about shg.biz selling S12-430 might be dissappointed.

Heh sorry for being a bit off-topic but I found this quite funny =)
I googled for stretch magic on Danish websites and found http://www.lingerieshop.dk/38/41 which sells some "Magic Penis Ring-Stretch" hehe... Dunno how suitable it would be for anti-vibration. Gotta love google =)

Ilh: Never really thought about whether the increased alu mass would create more resonanse, but as long as the plates are fairly thick so they cant vibrate, and kept really tight to the hdd (by screws and elastic bands) I don't think it's a problem. My 7200.7 pata is pretty quiet in this setup. A li...

During the time I have lurked the spcr forums I have lots to thank this excellent community for and now I think it's time to give something back, albeit a minor contribution ;) I've used a method for a while now and found it to be very effective. It's basically Curtis' aluminium plate method combine...

The trend is that we don't like loud components here at SPCR. We don't care what they're constructed from or what technology they're using, we just don't like noise. See where I'm coming from? I think that's the way most pc enthusiasts feel. We want the best and couldn't care less what technology h...

Storage without moving parts?
I've just installed a new system for a friend, and although the 7200.7 he wanted isnt that loud it still vibrates a lot. As my friend doesn't have internet I had brought my pendrive along for drivers and stuff. Then I started wondering... The pendrive is totally silent (afaik) with its flashram, so ...

Especially http://www.asetek.com/main/page.asp?sideid=628 looks interesting from a silent computing pov.
And it doesn't hurt either that asetek is a Danish company which should make their products cheaper for me personally :>

Is earth/ground important?
I've read the psu guide and searched the forums but haven't been able to figure out whether earth (ground for you yanks) is that important? btw considered placing the question in the newbie forum, but then I thought the psu freaks would probably be the best to ask. Feel free to move the post if it i...

*resolved* 6600gt PCIe: Asus, MSI, POV or Albatron?
I've been asked to assemble a comp for a friend and I've got it all set apart from the gfx. He wants to buy it all from a single shop, and shg.dk is the chosen shop. They have the following 6600gt cards: Asus EN6600GT MSI NX6600GT (contradicting noise reports?) Point Of View GeForce 6600GT Albatron ...

The PWR and HDD LEDs are polarity-sensitive so flip the connectors over and try again. Got the hdd working (never knew they were +- sensitive so I must have gotten lucky with my previous comps :D ), but the pwr is too wide to fit. In my old case the pwr header used the middle and left one of the si...

Mini review: Installation went pretty easy, apart from when I had to remove the cpu heat sink to get the psu fitted, that steel crossbar might help with stability but it really gets in the way if you don't think ahead. The lacking manual almost gets nullified by the logical and simple components. As...

I've ordered it and will probably get it monday. Do you think I can run my system with a single rear fan if I tape over all the small holes in the front so that the airflow will get concentrated over my harddrive(s) at the bottom of the case?
