Thermaltake Sonic Tower
I have seen many negative comments on SPCR concerning the Thermaltake Sonic Tower but from people NOT using it. I have been using this cooler on my 3.2ghz 478 Prescott for three days now and I works great. Right now I have been running it online browsing and emailing for an hour with the fan shut of...

TT Sonic Tower
I am running the TT Sonic Tower right now with Coolermaster Silent LED 12cm fan on a 3.2ghz Prescott on Asus MB P4P800 SE undervolted to 1.6ghz temp is 26 with the fan at 12v it is barely audible. With the fan at 5v I can't hear it and still get temps of 34 degrees (at 3.2ghz stock speed). This cool...

Re: Undervoltable Motherboards: ADD to the list!!
Apparently most or all ASUS boards do not allow undervolting p3 and p4 CPUs, they only allow overvolting for overclockers (see the recent Asus P4PE thread). Since most CPUs are now way overpowered for a home theater PC that's only doing playback, I was thinking of undervolting and underclocking. An...

Quietest CPU cooler
The Thermaltake A2018 120mm blue LED fan is 17db at 7v putting out 38cfm (this is truely silent...I can't hear it) and at 12v it puts out 93cfm and 46db for when you need the extra cooling power

Pentium II 266 without Fan?
Why not? I had a Packard Bell 350mhz Pentium II which came stock with a huge heasink and no fan. Ran great for several years and I sold it when I upgraded to a P4 at 2.6 mhz

Prescott Heat
Just installed Arctic Cooling Freezer on my 478 Prescott 3.2ghz and am running at 38c for CPU and 27c case. I have not yet lapped it. And This cooler is the quietest cooler I've heard. I just replaced my Zalman 7000b and lower the temp by 2c and it is much much quieter on high and completely silent ...

I just recieved and installed the Arctic Cooling Freezer on my 3.2 Prescott CPU and I can tell you that whatever a "sone" is it is very quiet. This cooler is simply amazing! MBM is showing 35 degrees in my Antec Super Lan Boy case and I can't hear this cooler above the quiet Antec fans This cooler i...
