You are comparing to the tests done at Tom's and don't know under what conditions the tests were done. If you can't see that it's taking place on an open platform then you are not reading or you're a troll. EDIT: I assume you're talking about the other review sites, but since you haven't named them...

You should re-read his post. He never gave any temps of the card, just temps for his CPU and MB, which was higher than the CPU. Tom's gave temps of the CARD. But you acknowledged it! At idle, the 6600GT is running at 34C which is basically the case temperature (other idle readings I've got are CPU ...

The G450 doesn't have a temperature sensor - not that it needs it, it's hardly a power-consuming card (<15W). Finger-test or attach some kind of thermometer to the heatsink.

The point is that, since all speeds have the same rating, it must apply only for the fastest of the models (lower clock = less power). It's a moot point anyway because Athlon 64s hardly ever draw what their TDP says.

They push a decent amount of air and the noise signature is fairly pleasant. You should be able to Google the code and find the fan's specs (RPM, CFM etc).

You can't use Cool 'n' Quiet with manual settings, but that's no problem; use the CrystalCPUID program instead. That sets the clock speed and voltage to be used at different levels of CPU usage. Download Prime95 to stress-test, raise the voltage one step on an error. There should be a FAQ on this so...

That's a Windows utility, useless unless you have wine installed. There is a simple equation... Power = (Voltage ^ 2) * Clock * k k is unique for every processor, so you will need to know the power draw of your processor for a given voltage and speed. One note: the TDPs for AMD processors aren't rep...

The real question is: why only 10mm more? It won't be much different to 120mm (or so I'd expect); 140mm would've been more worthwhile, unless their cases have mounting holes for 130. Apparently these have 130 mm fan radius while still fitting standard 120 mm holes. Hence the unconventional frame, w...
