It looks like the lowest street price for P150 is $180. For P180 is $105 (techonweb.com) + $83 for Seasonic 430 (bestbyteinc.com). So, the difference is only $10-$15 after you add shipping. According to the review P180 is slightly quieter: 1. Seasonic 430 is slightly quieter than ANtec Neo 430 2. P...

I just held my Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 to my ear and I can definitely hear a high pitched whine when the LED is at full power. Of course it is inaudible when it is not next to my ear.

I am also outraged by the amount of CPU power flash takes. I refuse to even install it on my laptop now. I use my laptop for normal computing tasks (typing up papers, listening to music, surfing the net, ect.) and the CPU normally is cool enough for the fan to stay at it lowest setting (a barely aud...

Re: The Giga-Byte RAM DRIVE

My understanding of this "drive" is that the SATA portion of it is only there so that the BIOS and the OS "thinks" that it is a SATA hard drive. The PCI offers power AND data xfer for all operations. The battery backup is there because once a computer is shut off, no power is available to keep the ...

Found a site with some benchmarks:
http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2005/05/31 ... e_ramdisk/

While I am dissappointed that it is only SATA-I, I guess I can't complain about a completely silent, bootable RAM drive with 3 times the average bandwidth of a normal hard drive and no seek time.

I don't see how they will sell this card. Normally when low/mid-level cards get extra memory they are intended for OEM's. The OEM's pay very little extra to get a card with 512MB of cheap high latancy RAM, and their less techno savvy customers see the higher RAM amount and think it must be better. T...

Exactly. In other words, the SATA interface will be the bottleneck, and there is no reason to buy anything faster than PC1600 (which is, as far as I know, the slowest DDR memory available). DDR266 support would still be nice because DDR200 RAM is very rare these days, especially in the form of 1GB ...

Re: Front of the case part one. The IEEE 1394 (FireWire), USB 2.0 and audio ports are accessible with the door closed. Great! The door must be opened to access the power and reset buttons. Odd. Why not put them accessible from outside, too? Then I'd never have to open the case. Now that I write it,...

You mention in the article: " For minimal noise, the best strategy is to use only the back fan and close up the top vent because when placed on the floor, the top vent provides a direct sound path to a typically positioned user, which may increase perceived noise. " Is there a way to block off the t...

Sounds like this could be a great PSU for the duct in the Antec P180. I hope some reviews start popping up soon.

The side panels are layered aluminum-plastic-aluminum. As for the price, I actually think that is a good deal for the UK. I am expecting the price to be $160-$180 in the US once it is finally released. It will be more than the P160, and the P160's MSRP is $169 though you can find it for much less on...
