Looks like someone edited my earler post or server error. I will repeat. The panflow series can produce some high airflow and ramp down to low noise levels if you get a good sample. The Sanyo Denki San Ace 109R1212H1011 is good for high pressure but it has some 'chugging' noise even at low speed so ...

Well....you know this is "Silent"PCReview. Anyone who says noise is not important in any context is bound to make SPCR regulars angry. Questions should never result in a shout down - unless you just want to make everyone that cares about silent look ignorant. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b388/...

Look at the Abit IP35 or one of the Asus P35 chipsets. I have the Abit and it does a very good job of automatically under clocking/ under volting the CPU evan at default. With the small difference in price there is not much reason to get less than 800 DDR2 just avoid the over clocking memory as they...

If you need a high RPM Delta.....first off....you are on the wrong site. You probably want a site about puters that fly around like helicopters or overclocking a CPU until it's drawing 500 w and can roast a chicken in an hour. Finding a fan that runs at 3000 + rpm and makes the expected noise is re...

I have this heatsink and it does work with semi passive to some extent I just got it so I have not done any quiet testing but it will continue to cool with only a case fan blowing at it even under heavy load. It is significantly better than my Thermalright Ultra. You can use a 120x38 I should have a...

Forgive me for not reading the whole thread. I am not going to get into the intel AMD debate but note one of the big issues with the first opterons were the chipsets. With more mature chipsets there should be far less intro issues. This is more of an evolution instead of a revolution as far as that ...

The Nforce 4 boards ave a lot going for them. Mine can easaly underclock with most of the fans off including the CPU or go very fast. Reasearch is a must as many memorys are not very compatable and most PSU's dont have enough juce to run them right clean 12 volt line is the new standard of power not...

Thanks Halcyon!Well that didn't look so good. The XT runs 100 MHz faster and consumes only 8 W more... :? It is more than just faster the xl has more pipelines too. I would not be suprised if you could undervolt it too if you were really trying to cut down on noise. I beleve the powercolor has an e...

Hey nice to see other sith the board. You can just place a fan blowing on the chiset fan I have one of the nexus like 120 yate looms works perfet even with the heatsink off or very low when overclocking. Get good memory with this board or it will bite you though this is true of most of the new nforc...

There are some who have gotten the ultra d's to work in SLI at full speed. I have the DFI nforce4 board you should take a serious look at that one. Right now the CPU heat sink fan is off as well as the CPU fan with tems in the 30's. DFI also has a feature that allows you to program in your save and ...

Re: Market forces
Perhaps the overclockers actually asked for that nonsense? Not as absurd as it might seem it is a whole diffrent world for some many have one computer to use and one to overclock for benches. Take a look at this guys MB and all the fans he has on it I am sure he is not done  http://img172.exs...

I hope they are not as bad as the NB fan I could hear that one little fan in another room. It really is not a bad idea for overclockers but if history repeats they dont use the best fans no one can stand those for long. I am actualy thinking of some of the same cooling but with quiet fans and ducting.

I ordered 10 from TekGems too. Hope they are the same as the Geeks.com fan. I'm going to use 4 of them on an aluminum 11x11x3/4 inch transmission cooler. Now I just need to figure out a cheap way to slow them all down a little. I bought 10 too they did not have much of a rating in reseller ratings ...

You change in temp could easaly be due to higher voltage on the CPU if your new PS is providing more voltage The new PS might not be venting as much air especaly if you moved to a silent PSU. Od cource MBM is not 100% accurate change in voltage can change the reported results. As stated cable manage...
