ABIT IP35 PRO (ICH9R) RAID 1 problems
Hello This is my first RAID 1 build and I have done my homework and read lots of info before posting. I wanted to write enough organized background information on this post together with my questions. I have marked my questions in red. I like to thank you all in advance. I have built my last machine...

Details of my system are here. Scroll down to here for updated temperatures. I'm using a passive Ninja and the CPU typically runs ~31C idle and ~40-45C under heavy load. The chipset hovers near 36C. I've done some very minor but effective ductwork in the P180 case and the Ninja. Thanks. I guess tha...

Needing advice on temps and fan
Hello. I have posted a comment about this in another thread but I decided to open a new thread for this case because the other one was focused on another thing and I didn't like to hijack it. I have the Asus A8N-SLI Premium that uses heatpipes on the Nforce4 chipset. My system is build on the Antec ...

isn't there an AMD driver listed on the CD? Is that to be installed separately if one downloads the 6.70 chipset driver? Download that driver from AMD directly. You appear to need it if you have an X2, not with single core CPU. I installed only downloaded drivers, nothing from the CD. Nforce4 chips...

I bought the Asus A8N-SLI Premium last summer and I haven't had any problems. I have it mounted in a P180 case with an AMD X2 4600. I have the nVidia firewall disabled and I used an external firewall. I do not overclock and use CNQ. Jason What are your temps and what cooling are you using? I have a...

Re: Quick Q
I have the Asus A8N SLI Premium and ordered the SI-120. I have also an XP-120. Big question is: I'm intrigued: If you already have an XP-120, why are you getting an SI-120 too :?: I have both already. I had the XP-120 in another system that was sold, I took away the XP because that system went with...

I have the Asus A8N SLI Premium and ordered the SI-120. I have also an XP-120. Big question is: I can see from the pics posted that the heatpipes can be installed pointing the back ports or the memory slots, but speaking about performance, which of these 2 orientations delivers better temperatures? ...

Thanks for the pics, I have already ordered the MSI board. I am very pleased with the XP-120 + Nexus combo, My temps are always surrounding the 40C barrier on load. The Antec case that I have is amazing with the side air duct. It really helps a lot, with my Lian Li case my processor was always surro...

The diagonal chipset heatsink doesn't look good... but it could work with an NB47 installed normally. The 865PE Neo2-PS is listed as OK in the chart, it has also a diagonal heatsink: http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=528 I ahve emailed Termalright. XP-120 and MSI 865PE NEO2-V, compatibility experiences?
I own an Asus P4C800E-Dlx that is going through the window or to RMA (depends on Asus). This board has been RMAed before due to the infamous but known "CPU fail test" problem. I am really tired now and will buy a new board anyway. My setup with the XP-120 + Nexus fan has worked very well for me unti...

Ok guys, this question can sound silly but beleive me I have no idea: How do you actually use these rubber sticks? http://www.microplex.no/rubweb/varer.asp?ARTNR=SDVMAV I have been trying almost ONE HOUR to mount my rear fan with these things and the fan keeps falling off the case! You can use thermal tape (by 3M, I think). I've seen it in a few on line shops. The only place I can recall right now is mCubed shop , they have their own thermal tape too. These thermal tapes from mCubed are "double sided", what does that mean? Do they have the glue in both sides or in one? I am l...

Re: Taking firewire and other ports in front?
My Asus P4C800E Deluxe came with 4 extra USB2.0 and 1 extra Firewire port that connect to headers on the motherboard but they where made to fit in a slot on the back of a case. I just modified them to fit into the right side of my case then cut some holes and designed a "cover" for them in Adobe Il...

Taking firewire and other ports in front?
Hello I am needing this lat component for my system. The Antec case that I have chosen, the SLK3000B, only has USB in the front. Is it ok to use rounded cables on DVDRW/CDRW drives?
Hi m8s. Question looks maybe obvious, but I have been having problems with some rounded cables and my CD-RW, I have decided to change the cable for a normal flat 40 threads cable that came with my Asus board. Is it ok to use rounded 80 thread cables (almost all they sell are these ones made for P-AT...

I have found that it has 80% efficiency and active PFC (don't know what that is exactly, I have to re-read the recommendation page here :) ). It also has 2 12V rails I think. Does these make it more interesting? EDIT: Here is a pic of the internals of the new MIST that I found posted in hw.no forums...
