Re: Samsung PN58C6400 Plasma HDTV

...the pro-plasma videophile point of view is too dismissive of the environmental deprivations, conflicts, wars, and suffering caused by our collective insatiable hunger for energy. Our recommendation is to pass by this plasma. So now we are going to blame Plasma TVs for all the worlds ills? With t...

I'm not running a dual gpu setup, but it's pretty powerful and I have no cooling issues what so ever. As far as the fans go, they are audible from the distance I am from the tower but they have a very smooth tone which easily falls in with my ambient white nice. Has anyone found better full size rep...

Good bang for your buck.
But if you want to spend $$$, get a Vertex over a Velociraptor.

Generally, you'd be correct RoGuE, but with this motherboard and Speedfan 4.38, only Speed01 and Speed02 work. It says there is a Speed03, but changing it has no effect on the fans installed. Okay, I've had this system for a while now so I feel it's time to give my impressions. Looks I love the looks of this case! It's simple and elegant. The only thing I don't like about the looks is the Silverstone logo on the front intake grille. But it's simple enough that it doesn't draw too much at...

The side panels came with dampening on them already.
But the issue is resolved when the front fan comes down in RPM.

As for the SSD, I'm not worried about it, I just like to geek out and look at readings all day long.

Got rid of the Velvita fan and got a Scythe 1200RPM. http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n257/bot_tonka/_IMG_18548.jpg Using Speedfan, the CPU fan is off 90% of the time. With that top fan blowing down on the HR01 at 700RPM the CPU idles at 34C. I keep the front fan at about 50% too (about 450RPM). I...

The AM2 mounting clip is totally unlike socket 939, so there's no way that you can migrate an original Ninja fo...

This could be a very valuable thread. On a bi-directional heatsink (best heat sinks on SPCR) the ability to rotate it and socket position can be critical to performance. I just bought a new AM3 board and the socket is North/South. On a bi-directional cooler that means blowing heat up into your PSU o...

I've tried that already.
It just makes the same noise but a little lower and at a slower rate.
I think the only answer is a replacement fan.

I unplugged the fan and the idle temps remained the same. I did some navigating around the folders on the drive, no real changes. So I decided to run a defrag. After about 30minutes I achieved 48C. I plugged the fan back in and it dropped to 31C, took awhile though. Next test, what temps do I get de...

The CPU runs fine fanless, just idles in the mid to upper 40s.
I prefer to have it where it belongs, low 30s.
