This is a HARD one: Antec alternative

Hello guys... I am into silent pc computing from years and I built my rig around an awesome Antec Sonata 1. I wanted to gift me a new case for Christmas and I searched ALL case manufacturers, but didn't found a single one that is good for my needs! Antec Sonata seem to be the King... but I want to c...

Where:

I = Current
R = Resistance (and it increases with temperature)

Are you sure that's completely true? A PATA C.F. Adapter is a PASSIVE adapter - think it as a 2'5" IDE to 3,5" IDE adapter. It only does a mechanical conversion and has not any chip for converting the signal (it would be easier to explain if you ever see one). So the speed only depends on your C.F....

So last week I bought a GA-MA74GM-S2H rev.3 to replace my rev.1 (yeah... no comment), my power consumption drop from 28W to 27W and I was quite happ...

here's a study of memory error rates which was conducted recently: http://www.cs.toronto.edu/~bianca/papers/sigmetrics09.pdf it claims to be "the first large-scale study of DRAM memory errors in the field," and it "covers the majority of machines in Google's fleet and spans nearly 2.5 yrs," which a...

33W without HDDs (only a 4GB CF) and a LE-1250 downvolted to 0,8V (@1,6GHz). PSU is an old SFF 250W Seasonic.

What sort of trouble? I find it hard to believe there are software problems with the PCI-E bus. Look here . It's not a problem if you're using it for graphic cards. OK: 16x PCI-E port should not used for anything different than a VGA. Now you know it. Does it change something? No. There are 6 SATA....

Besides being a bad overclocker, the P5Q-EM disables the IGP if you put a card in the x16 slot, even if it's not a graphic card, see page 6 in the thread I linked to. IIRC GDDR3 consumer more power than GDDR5, which means that 512MB of GDDR5 memory would consume less power than 512MB of GDDR3. Therefore it would be safe to assume that 1GB of GDDR3 also consumes more power than 512MB of GDDR5. All this however is contingent on the fact that GDDR3 consumes more po...
