No PSU Whine? - (PC Power & Cooling Silencer MK III 750W)
From my research it seems that Seasonic sourced PSU's cannot be guaranteed not to whine. I've been trying to find a quiet (fan noise), efficient PSU which I could use instead. I'm considering the PC Power & Cooling Silencer MK III 750W as I've seen a few positive reviews, and isn't too expensive in ...

It isn't too loud, but it is audible. Fan noise is almost negligible. Another thing, is that when I scroll my mouse on certain things (like some linked images), or scroll down some websites, I also get another buzzing noise. At the moment, I'm not sure if that's the graphics card or the PSU, but I t...

Maybe I'll stick with the black BDL version for CPU cooling use and resort to the Nexus only if that doesn't work out.
PS where did you get them for $7.50?

jermaink, please read this - Off topic : Very disappointed with the silencer fan. I don't know how they test them but they CLICK like mad. PWM is disaster at anything but 0 and 100%... Certainly this product is not a "silencer" I've found the NV 5.3 to be a lot better in this regard. I haven...

Can people tell me what kind of temps they're getting on their passive nforce 4 chipsets? I'm using an A8N-SLI Premium with it's passive heatpipe, and I've overclocked my 4400+ to 2.5 Ghz, but I'm getting very dual core load chipset temps (49C for the CPU, and 54C for the chipset). I'm thinking that...

I find it to be inferior compared to ATI Tray Tools. There's no ability to ramp fan speed according to temperature. Basicly your wrong, you can. Im doing it at the moment. Mine VGA fan runs at 25% untill it gets to 70C then goes to 100% untill it goes below 60C then ramps back down to 25%. 2 option...

rivatuner Defenetly its a verry clever program, you can change the fan speed with that. I find it to be inferior compared to ATI Tray Tools. There's no ability to ramp fan speed according to temperature. ATI Tray Tools had the ability for you to peg like 10 fan speeds to certain temperatures. Ensur...

So you get a whole new front panel and not just the door? Im thinking this because the powerbutton is now magnetic. Do i need to send my old panel to Antec? Possibly. I think my retailer went to a bit of effort to get me the door, so it'll depend on how they are with customer service. The power but...

Weird. I got my p180 already and it came fitted w/ this "revised" front door. I bought it ~2 weeks ago on newegg. So they may be using it for all new P180's. That's good to hear, but there are a LOT of people (hundreds, maybe thousands) who probably have a warped door. I wonder if people who have w...

Has anyone tried the S12 500/600 with the DFI Lanparty UT Ultra-D Motherboard? Also, do you guys think that it is worth it to pay another 25CAD to upgrade from the 500 to 600? edit: also, if I decide to use a generic 24-pin extension, will this degrade power "quality"? Thanks I'd recommend a bit of...

Well, I paid $700 for my 512 MB GTX, of course, though, it still hasn't arrived despite being over a month of waiting. You might want to cancel your order. ATI and nVidia about to enter their next generation of graphics cards, which would make spending $700+ on a top line graphcs card, which may ju...

For the power supply, I'd definitely get the Seasonic S12 600W. It'll be quieter than the Enermax. For the hard drive, the Samsung Spinpoint P120 250GB is much quieter than that Seagate Barracuda. As for which motherboard/graphics card, what exactly is the price difference? Apparently the 512MB X180...

REAL Antec P180 Door Fix
Here are the pics of the replacement door I got on my P180, after dealing with my retailer who got one through the local Antec distributer. It has magnets in the centre, and the power button is magnetic (and no longer has that 'power' symbol). http://www.freewebs.com/jermaink/IMG_4327.jpg http://www...

Jermaink, I understand that but I also am going to be using one pci slot for my X-Fi soundcard. How will that affect the wiring? I might just wait for the Antec Smartpower 2.0 500w as right now that seems the best bet because it will most likely perform as well as the sp-450(which is pretty quiet)....

Good news, but will antec send a replacement for the rest of us? It's one thing to send a replacement door to one person, and another one to send it to anyone who requests it. Yeah, I hope that they at least use it for every future version of the case, and I guess you have a good retailer who can d...

I'm using a Seasonic S12 600W, and a P180, and I can connect the power cables to the motherboard. I'm using a Asus A8N-SLI, and the ATX 4 pin cable is at the opposite end though the 24 pin was down the side, but I just managed to get it in (fairly tightly, and over a 7800GT). If the 430W's cables ar...

I had my P180's front door replaced (well I got a new one via my retailer who got it through an Antec distributer). While I didn't manage a replacement (leaving me with the broken clipped door and some manufacturing scratches), they did give me a new door (whole front piece). This must be an updated design, as the warping is completely gone. There ...

I've used both the DM10 (250GB) and the P120 (200GB) and I'm finding it hard to believe that you found the P120 to be louder. My DM10 sample was very loud when weeking, much louder (well sharper) than my Raptor, whose seeking isn't too sharp to me. The DM10 also gave a bit of a wooshing noise while ...
