While I don't have any measurements on it but my experience with it tells me that the readings Zalman claim are pretty close to the truth with 18.5 dB at 5 V. In my system it's inaudible once you approach approximatley 6.5 volts but this system is far from quiet.

I'm having pretty much the same thoughts as you, Expert Novice. I believe that the phantom 500 will fit and fit well though. I can't imagine Antec building a top-of-the-line case that wouldn't fit their best PSU. If I'm wrong I don't think there'll be a problem running the Phantom 500 without a fan ...

The standing waves achieved in a normal mid-tower case would start at approximately 680 Hz given that either the height or the depth is 50 cm or so. This would be the lowest possible resonant frequency if there's an unbroken soundpath between two sides of the case. The chances for that are very slim...

Re: AMD 64 system - Audigy 2 question (plus some Nexus sourc

I hav ethe Lian Li V1000B case, and there are front media ports on the front bezel. It has the usual mic in, headphones out and 2 USB ports. I'd like to connect it to my Audigy 2 Value card, but I can't figure out where to plug it in. Have any of you done this? Creative Labs decided to display thei...
