ghetto style vibration isolation of rear p150 120mm fan: using double sided tape put 8 small 1cm squares of 10mm foam (cheapo camping foam mat) either side of the fan screw holes. Then using 2x 30cm piece of 3mm bungey cord tied the fan to the case, resting it on the soft foam. Cords basically went ...

Actively involving your future customers in the design and research of a product is going to get more and more importnant, hopefully. Kinda like what bestbytes is doing with their fan-construction thread on these forums. I hope we get to see more of that. It is a win win situation for everyone invo...

like many high end cases it doesn't come with a powersupply to give people the choice. some may have a sli setup needing some 600watt monster, whereaas I've already got a fanless antec phantom that i'll put in a p180, once the good reviews are in. I'd prefer not to pay extra for something that i won...

That should improve things, however the fans will be out of phase (a disaster if you use LED fans!). You can fix this and make it much more noise-friendly by drilling holes in a blade of each fan and putting a metal rod through it, so that they rotate at exactly the same speed. ??? how exactly did ...

i don't have one of these yet (waiting for zalman to solve the pump probs, hopefully in the rev2 shown in hannover) just going off what the reviews say on the web. i completely agree with all of the above that aluminium in isolation still corrodes and that it would be ridiculous to jsut have the gol...

cool and quiet motherboards - electrical noises
i've been having issues with my gigabyte ga7n400 making clearly audible electrical noises when i enable the s3 idling patch. ( this thread I'm planning on upgrading to one of the new venice cores with a matching motherboard once they're available. Obviously the curent cool and quiet technology would...

typical - i scratch my head for hours trying all sorts of things, give up in frustration and post a novel, then the next thing i do fixes it. shouldn't complain really  i had installed the nForce2 C0/C1/C2 Cooling Patch V2 thats floating around that is supposed to lower the idle temps. i remov...

noisy nforce2 fanless motherboard
hi, i'm trying to progressively silence everything in my pc but seem to have a noisy motherboard. I was always under the impression that motherboards were inherently silent components but this one is definately making a noise. my setup: gigabyte ga7n400pro with chipset fan removed athlon xp 3200, co...

That's a WB2 GOLD. There is no exposed copper, thus it should function better, corrosion-wise, when used with aluminum. this review comments about the gold on the outside, but then the comment for the internal picture suggests that it still is copper on the inside. makes for a nice bit of bling but...

thermaltake arn't the only ones building skyscrapers. i know lots of people rightfully arn't too fond of thermaltake as a company, but then everyone's darling zalman arn't making them any smaller: 14 heatpipes!!! makes this thing look tiny: http://www.frostytech.com/ArticleImages/200503/zalman_cnps8...
