I'm considering this drive or the samsung F1 750GB/1TB. This will be the "data" disk in my system and it will have torrents being downloaded to it almost constantly. This means a lot of seek activity. Any opinion on which drive will be the quietest with respect to seek noise? The information in the ...

Well, I needed 2 extensions cables. But I ended up with €50+ worth of goodies.

And almost forgot to order the extension cables

Probably won't be the last time something like this happens to me either

The noise sounds like is coming from the back of the case, bouncing off the wall. Moving the case under my desk would help a lot, but the case looks too good to be hidden. :) I've seen people mount "egg crate foam" on the wall behind the pc, to lower the reflections. Maybe that can help in your sit...

Asetek vapochill mini in an Antec P180

Well, I just received news that my Antec P180 could be here sometime next week. (woohoo!! :D ) Now I'm looking for a heatsink for my CPU, which will be a socket 775 cpu. I'm considering the Asetek vapochill mini, which looks cool and is also somewhat affordable :) Now that's nothing special, but may...

PSU extension cables in Europe

I'm getting an Antec P180 (when it finally arrives here). And I've already bought a Tagan 480W PSU and Asus p5gdc motherboard. From the posts here, I get the impression that the 24 pin atx cable and the P4 cable aren't long enough. I've searched for 30 minutes now, and I can't seem to find extender ...

What a behemoth  Let's see if this gives me some inspiration and ideas about my own new computer :) Edit: the 92mm nexus reference recording is linked to a file on c:\documents and setting, instead of a file on the website. (dunno if this is the proper place to notify about the...

The 4-5 working days that were listed on the website of one of the suppliers here was incorrect.

I now have several stores informing me that the P180 will be available mid-end july.

Ridiculous :x

Information on availability here (in the Netherlands) is conflicting. I have my case pre-ordered at a store. I emailed them this morning asking them if they have new information on availability. I received a reply from them at 17:20 that they don't have any information on when it will be available. ...

Sorry :)

Dutch pricewatch, more sites will turn up here when they have the case online too:

Re: European retailers?

And better yet: it's also appearing on some european pages (dutch pages specifically). Where? I want one yesterday, but I cant find a european retailer! So far, I've only seen them available for pre-order at Dutch stores. They also have prices that are consistant with each other. So I think that th...

I read that there were some spare silicon grommets delivered with this case. Can't you use those to mount the fan with?

I have some rubber grommets that are used to guide electrical cable through sheetmetal. I think I'll use those to mount the fans with. Shouldn't be more than 5 minutes of work :)

There is little clearance at the bottom, so the bottom front bezel intake is pretty much useless even on hard floors. On carpet it'll be completely blocked. From the pics, I can't imagine that to be a problem: there appears to be an intake around the entire front bezel. art4242: thanks for the clar...

Re: confirmed - I have a retail P180!

It's finally here, I have one in my hands now. Lucky man!! I pre-ordered one from a Dutch store, I hope it arrives here too within the next few weeks. I have one question though: How are the side-panels removed? Do they need to slide all the way back, or just a few inches before you can take them o...

Several stores seem to have this case in stock at the moment!! And better yet: it's also appearing on some european pages (dutch pages specifically). And for less money than I was expecting. Guys, a few places are showing stock on this thing. I don't plan to get it until Newegg has it in stock, but thought I'd post it. ComputerHQ says they have it, though I haven't verified. Resellerratings doesn't give them a very high rating though. Some sites are showing ETA this week and next. It e...

Cable length for Seasonic SS500HT bulk version:
Thanks!

It appears that these lengths are the same as the lengths measured by mike on the retail versions.

It's just the 20+4 and the 24 pin ATX plug

Does bulk and retail versions always differ like this?? In my experience, they don't. Usually the device itself is exactly the same, but it's delivered without a box and seperate extra's (like software, manual, cables etc) In this case, it seems that the device itself is also very different. Can yo...

Any idea on the differences between the retail and the bulk versions? At the german store, both versions are listed, but the retail versions aren't available yet. In another topic, I read that the 30 1 version had shorter cables, but since the model# are the same for the S12-500 and the SS500HT, I w...

I just called Antec Europe, and now they informed me that it will be June
