From the reviews I've read, and my own experience with the vga silencer, I believe that the v1 is a better cooler. It gets lower tempuraters and you can put your own fan on it if the stock one is too noisy for you.

You could save a few bucks and go with the s12 380. It has quite a bit more 12volt power than the zalmon you mentioned on your other thread.

THose power usage calculators calculate the maximum theoretical power draw your system could experience if every single component was maxed out at the same time. This is not a very realistic scinario, however, for that price difference there is no harm in getting the 430 watt.

If your thermal interface is good, it may be that you got a defective heatsink. Maybe one or more of the heatpipes is bad. I once read a review where the reviewer had to have one replaced for this reason.

I have shuttle xp for my backup\lan needs, and I use a vantec iceberq 4 at 5volts to cool my radeon 9500pro. Even at 12 volts it is much quieter than the stock cooling was, and at 5 volts it still cools alot better than the stock unit did. Even at 5 volts, I wouldn't call it silent, but it was a hug...

I've never met a tv out that I would call crisp. Matrox is the best for outputting to a regular tv, and even that is abismal IMO. In my limited experience, ati cards have slightly better tv out quality than nvidia, and vivo make no difference in that respect.

As long as the radiator is in a cool location, it should work fine. Just don't try to mount it inside your case or tuck it inside a desk drawer.

contrary to popular belief, that radiator will work just fine for a multiple block configuration. The pump should work fine too, although you may want something with a little more head pressure just to be safe.
