SLK3000B
I bought an "b-stock" SLK3000B and, to this day, can't find anything wrong with it. It was around $20 so I took a chance. How much are they asking for a P180?

My order got cancelled as well. I was looking forward to playing with a quiet small system. Mwave is usually pretty cool. No clue as to what happened this time. didn't need another PC anyway. Just wanted a new toy.

individual
People's Pcs are as individual as they are. I should have mentioned that the Sunbeam works perfectly, so far, with the Globe 120mm (another SPCR recommendation) I got from Silencio. I thought the Sunbeams changed voltage and didn't use PWM. Anyway they work sweet with the globes but I can't speak ab...

SPCR newbie
I'm no silence expert but SPCR has affected my purchase decisions more positively then any other web source. I searched for years for the perfect controller and finally settled on the Sunbeam rheobus. I recently installed three of them and was impressed with their quality and heavy duty build. Defin...

caulk!
I just attached my 120mm globes with four rubber "screws" and put a bead of DAP silicone rubber sealant (high end caulk) around the fan frame then applied gentle pressure with two peices of wood and a c-clamp overnight. I was pretty impressed with the results. It seems like no fan vibration at all. ...

Thanks for all the ideas. I do like the globes so far. Lots of configuration options can't hurt. They seem to work smoothly with the sunbeam controller as well.

Remove Globe 120mm sensor?
I bought some globe 120mm fans from Silencio and was wondering how to remove the thermal sensor so I could get the full RPM range of the fan when necessary. I've got the on a Sunbeam rheobus and they're very quiet but I'd like to know how to acheive their full speed whenI need it. Thanks in advance.

People should also know that Jab-tech doesn't gouge you on shipping. If you order from Newegg and shipping on a small item is $5 then if you order two it's $10. At Jab-tech it's done by weight and on that same order the shipping might well be $5. The vendor is friendly as well. He a nswers questions...

SLK3000B connectors?
The various front panel connector wires on the SLK3000B have a colored wire and white wire. The Supermicro MB I'm using expects an all in one Intel standard front panel connector but also lists the definitions of the various pins. I'm pretty sure the white wires from the front panel lights and switc...

I just assumed that all graphics card DVI outputs were in fact DVI-I (analog and digital) for backward compataabilty. I've put some time into the various DVI options. I've looked into DVI switches and DVI KVMs and what type of DVI you're working with is critical. If aqm consultant wants two CRTs ope...

ATI and Nvidia
I own three graphics cards all with one vga out and one DVI-I out. DVI-I provides both analog and digital signals. Almost always a DVI to VGA adapter is provided but if not it's a $5 part. The three cards are a 9800XT, 660GT and a X850XT PE. I run them all dual monitor with a LCD in portrait mode an...

I was thinking of asking this same question but never got around to it. A removable SATA drive bay would be an ultimate backup solution but I feared noise issues. Anyon...

Thanks for your very specific details. Such information is hard to come by. I guess I'll keep on looking. I'd like a smothe "automatic" hardware solution without spending $70 . Finding a "perfect" peice of hardware is often difficult if not impossible.
