This is somewhat OT, but the A7V333 does support lower voltages.

Interesting. I have smart temp issues with one of my drives, but it's a little more obvious: min 0C, max 254C (and those are the only values out of the ordinary).

The microswitches on my Logitech mice (MX500 and Dual Optical) just pop open. Getting them back together is another matter entirely

I did manage to silence the left button, though (by accident).

Disabling the swap file's an option too, if you have enough RAM. Some things might not run without a swap file though (Quake2's the only one I remember outright refusing to run). No, no, no. Please, everyone, educate yourselves here: http://episteme.arstechnica.com/eve/ubb.x/a/tpc/f/99609816/m/8290...

It's more of a hum than a buzz, and not really high-pitched. On further (quieter) investigation, it's audible about from a foot in front of the monitor on the lowest brightness setting. Very much inaudible at that range on the highest.

The verdict: This electronic device does indeed hum. Audibly, in fact. But at min brightness it's only audible if my ear is less than about 6 inches from the back center. At max brightness, it's barely audible from 3. So I'm happy there. And it is insanely bright- brightness 0% vs 100% on the monit...

Welcome to SPCR! (I've never had a chance to say that before :P) Some stuff to consider: Graphics card fans tend to be loud. I don't know about that one in particular, but you might want to get a passively cooled card if you can. A 330 or 350W power supply should be plenty, and would probably keep ...

I haven't noticed the fan ramping up on mine, but the air coming out the back of the psu is a lot warmer than the air blown out by the TriCool.

Look on the inside of the anchors; there's a two hooks keeping each side of the band from slipping out.

I'd recommend undervolting the TriCool to 5v or 7v. Just keep in mind it won't start on low at 5v (and maybe medium too, depending on the fan). My SmartPower 2.0 350W is all-but-silent, though its peak efficiency is a little lower than the NeoHE I think. Well that sticky by MikeC does say that the divisions into rails is mostly made-up... So that would make it 3 A total on the 12 V rail, and it's pretty safe to assume that any computer which powers the CPU from the 12 V is going to pull 36 W total.
