Re: Yay! Inspirational stuff, thanks!

I'm happy with what's inside the box (a not especially new system - probably about 5 years old now) but it works and I can't see any point in upgrading massively. ... Will post stuff when I get there!!! Ian well I did it, and I upgraded massively... but what ELSE are credit cards supposed to be use...

LOL, the "Before" pics are just tragic, the CPU, PSU and case fan are all fighting each other for the same bit of air, talk about lack of system airflow planning! Great job by the way, damn those noisy fish! lol, well, the new setup is only one fan better, really, but when I've paid back some...

I made my Lian-Li PC65 quieter than my fishtank!!!

Believe me, that was some achievement, which I owe entirely to the great ideas I found on this site! thank you!!! When I first came on here, with my shiny new (well, second-hand from a friend) PC-65 box thinking it was the Best Thing Since Sliced Bread, I'm sure you can imagine how dismayed I was to...

The solution is perfectly obvious. What you need to do is remove all of the sidewalls from the PC and suspend it in a pendulum arrangement. As it silently swings backwards and forwards, it moves through fresh air, thus cooling it. hahaha! sweet! Another alternative (whilst we're on the subject of d...

Yay! Inspirational stuff, thanks!

Hi there, I just wanted to say that as the (semi-proud) owner of a Lian-Li PC-65 you've given me loads of inspiration. I was just telling my good lady the other day that I was considering replacing it because it's so DAMN LOUD! (I've heard quieter air-con units!!!) However, now I've seen your modifi...

Wow, mate that's proper stealthed! I'd be happy to stay in a hotel with a suite like that in it. A nice case of understated style (pun absolutely intended!). Have been thinking about doing a case somewhere between this and Rusty's "quiet In-Desk PC" for a while, needs to sit in the corner of my livi...
