Thanks for your input guys. Couldn´t wait for next month to get the CPU, it is installed now... Loud stock fan, will try to swap and/or remove fan on heatsink soon after I solve some problems installing Windows, it gives me a bluescreen. Funny thing is that the old Windows-install is still accessib...

I put a 4850 into my NSK2400 with the 380w PSU and it fits and works perfectly, even with the S1 on after some bending. One thing I have not solved is the temp-reading bit, ATI-Tool, speedfan and everest does not find any sensors at all so there´s a problem getting a load-temp reading that is accur...

I bought an AC S1 for my Sapphire X1950Pro to replace the previous X2 which was far from as quiet as people say, that clicking can drive people crazy (I guess Britney Spears had an X2 when she shaved her head). Now I have reached the goal I set a long time ago, a computer I can´t hear at all... The...

opterons support cool n quiet, although, it's called "power now"...it works exactly the same. I've got an opteron 170, for some reason my motherboard wont let me use the 10x multi above an fsb of 267mhz. Currently I use two power states, 2.8ghz (9x312) 1.4v(although cpuz, core temp, and crystal cpu...

I bought a Gigabyte K8N51PVMT9, a excellent and cheap MB with everything I could ever need, FW, SATAII, very nice IQ on the built in tv-out and HD-Audio which sounds better then my old Soundblaster LIVE/AudigySE. Since I live away from home I´ve not really tested it much, but from what I´ve sen so...

A little UPDATE on my rig. I moved the HDD down from the 5,25´s to a home made driverack. The rack is in aluminium 3mm thick and 5,25 inch wide to fit the Nexus drive-thing on it too. All on a bit of rubber to make the vibrations at a minimum, works really good. Made a quick duct for the Ninja, gav...

Did you peel the 3M back and use the sticky surface. I heard some people leave it on to avoid any possible shortages. No my backplate is easily removed. Well, I got the Ninja and installed it. I had to dremel the clip also. No way around it with the Zalman VGA cooler. I took a lot of pictures and w...

I read your post and it made my head spin. You used the Scythe back plate with a Zalman cooler?! I'm all confused... :? So you recomend using the scythe back plate? No, when I installed the Ninja I thought about using the Zalman backplate, but since it was plastic I decided not to, so I´m using the...

Did you leave the stock back plate on when you installed the Ninja or did you use the one Scythe provides with the heatsink? Mine should be here on Wednesday and I want to be able to slap it in with no problems. I'm sure I'm going to have to remove the motherboard to install the Ninja but I'd preff...

Why don't you replace that 120x25 fan that you have back there for a 120x38? You would get less noise, better case cooling and your CPU temps would drop a lil bit more. http://members.lycos.co.uk/herdkilling/Antec/hddheatsink.jpg I have never seen a 120x38 fan available here in sweden, but if I can...

Yes, I´ve been thinking about ducting but never come as far as doing it. I will try it next week, and of course post my results here. About the clicking, I read this on AC´s homepage: http://www.arctic-cooling.com/vga2.php?idx=61&data=6&disc= just make an adapter for the fan to fit on a regular 3-pi...

Yesterday I bought a new cooler for the X800Pro: ATI Silencer 5 Rev 2. Tight fit with the Ninja, even my now heavily modified Zalman passive NB-cooler... If I´d owned the Silencer when I bought the Ninja there wouldn´t have been necessary to modify the Ninja. I hope someone understands what I´m tryi...

So let me get this straight. You dremelled the piece that is used to clamp the Ninja down? Shown below (circled area): http://img82.imageshack.us/img82/7114/scnj1000base6do.th.jpg If so then I think I have a good idea of what needs to be done. Any close up pictures you could provide would be helpfu...

I´ve learned alot about silencing since I first started reading this forum, now it´s my turn to give some back. I can´t come up with one more thing to do to make the case more silent. The things I´ve done to it: ¤ Bitumen damping mat to most metal surfaces that can vibrate, on front door and on 5,25...

I suppose that cable length is something to have in mind when manifacturing PSU:s, maybe that is one of the reasons that it has the high 80% efficiency. I believe that the cables in the S12 is a bit thicker than in my previous Enermax 431W, and softer too. I´ll be rearranging the cables once more in...

I bought the 500 watt newer version earlier this week, it seems to be a very good unit, quiet and nice. Only thing I didn´t think of when I bought it was that I don´t have PCI-E, SATA or dual CPU, so theré are many unused connections, much to hide away. And I think they could have made the molex cab...
