70mm to 80mm adaptor and Panaflo

I'm using a 70mm to 80mm adaptor on top of the Asus heat sink and have replaced the Asus 70mm fan with a Panaflo 80mm and Fan Mate II.
So far it provides adequate cooling and near silence. I got the idea on this forum from posts by hmsrolst.

Pentium M CPU Pins for CT-479

Thanks for the possible sources. One more question, does anyone know if BOTH the 478 pin Pentium M's and 479 pin Pentium M's will work with the Asus CT-479 adaptor? I had assumed that the CT-479 required a 479 pin pentium M and that the 478 pin pentium M would not work. There are boxed Intel 478 pin...

Please suggest possible USA sources for Socket 479 Pentium M processors. I want to buy two model 750 processors, sSpec# SL7SR, OEM RJ80536GE0362M. I tried the SPCR PriceGrabber search with no luck. All that I could find were socket 478. Thanks.

Which sata notebook drive do you prefer: Fujitsu or Hitachi

I want to build a desktop next week using a sata 80GB notebook drive. I've found two that are available now (Fujitsu and Hitachi). What are your preferences or recommentations. SPCR reviewed the Fujitsu and it sounds tolerable to me on the MP3 recording. The Hitachi sata has not been reviewed by SPC...

You could be right. I'll start another thread tomorrow rather than butting in on this one. I want to include some HW "requirements" info from the Joe Kane Productions website.

Re: WMVHD Test

It sure would be helpful to me if someone would answer Hyphe's questions. If the MB were to require a separate video card to drive a HD projector at 1080p resolution, the MB would not be able to my needs - heat and other issues aside. Thanks (This is a great forum) Great review. To bad about the HSF...
