since you have a core 2 duo, speedfan should report the temperatures of each core. (unless i am mistaken.) go get the beta of speedfan and you ought to be able to see the core temperatures directly. or use the intel thermal analysis tool.

@ wowimsocute - you have great temps, really low for passive 7600gt - i guess you have v nice airflow. the bg cards i've seen would go up up to 90 degrees under stress - too much for my liking, but still within factory safety limits. it could be sample variance, it could be some other factors, dunn...

to me, the hard drive doesnt seem to make much noise in the xbox. i am guessing it is the power supply or fans inside that makes all the noise. now there is a project: silencing xbox fans.
