Hi,
I have a gigabyte EP45 DS4, with four pin fan controller for
the cpu. To run a PWM fan. However I use a 3-pin scythe
cpu fan which can be PWM controlled by changing a setting in
the F9 bios.

I got finally an RMA for komplett.be for the mobo. And the shop I bought the CPU,will send it back to Ingram (importer in Belgium) as these are less difficult than sending it to Intel straight. I ordered also a new mobo (as the RMA of gigabyte seems to take multiple weeks). Still waiting for the pro...

I checked the clearance between the condensators and other components under the brackets before it did anything else, there was around 1.5mm room. At the shop we checked the mobo fully with a magnifier, the things that are visible seems all to be ok. So for sure I will send the mobo back to the e-sh...

Well I bought the HR-01 Plus. First remarks, the components for 775 and am2 where mixed in the plastic bags. To find out with belong to 775 wasn't so hard to find out. But anyway this shouldn't be. Next where to place the O-rings? SPCR shows it different than what's on the included very small and an...

Scythe Mine is compatible with AM2. I would go for seasonic, but it's to late to say. Don't go for seagate but for Samsung or Western Digital. The shop I buy my major components, has this message on it's site. 2006-07-01: AMD meld dat volgende modellen cpu's met AM2 socket uit productie genomen word...

Well, I finally did the fan swap on the XFX 7600GT XXX (standard max overclocked), in fact very easy to do, I used arctic silver 5. At 100% the zalman VF900 is louder than the XFX stock cooler. At minimum setting of the fanmate (I guess 5V), it is inaudible in my case. But temps are fantastic, at lo...

This morning I saw an open RC-830 in the computer shop. Woaw, this is a real big case, even with a ATX mobo inside you have much space between the mobo and HDs. Ideal to use with full length videocards in SLI, and you can do fantastic cable management. They say superior airflow, but it indeed is. If...

I got my XFX 7600GT XXX, and the zalman today. I decided to first install the XFX, just to see if it works. (Mounting the zalman will destroy my warranty..) If it wouldn't work, I can bring it back to the shop. Well, first the fan runned with the standard settings of the driver at 66%. It's noisy, b...

Last week I changed the Intel Heatsink on a P4 630 to a Freezer 7 Pro for a friend. In a standard Aopen case, so airflow isn't that great. It sure is a lot more quiet now, and temps stays idle around 40°C, load around 50°C. I didn't use a fanmate, but let the mobo control the cpu speed. Roomtemp w...

I think that Windows Power Management on HDs, is different on other mobo's. I actually tried it, but hated the slow reaction when you start using a HD. I read somewhere that HDs still spin with Power Management ON on HDs, as they still have power. And than another question, does WPM on HDs, works se...

What a noise? Really like a car.. :) And I'm complaining of my HDs noise. So it's the tick that you are talking about, that I hear in every mp3 only one time? It's not that louder than the fan's noise of the psu. On advice of SPCR I bought a seasonic S12. With a psu duct this S12 430 is inaudible to...

yep, I made the psu duct for the hot air of the psu that leaves through the front holes, so that it doesn't enter the case again. If you buy an eSATA external enclousure with a power adapter, you don't need to take the power of your pc. Maximum length of eSATA cable without loss is 2 meter.
