Thanks mate.

I've seen in the web that the total height of the heatsink is 85mm, so that won't fit in my case, that has space just for 85mm (and you have to add the height of the motherboard, etc).

thx

Sorry for refloating this post.

Thejamppa (or anyone else), did you finally measure the total height of the card + heatsink?

I'm interested in knowing if it would fit in a 8cm small form factor htpc (with a small form factor graphic card).

thx

PicoPsu + 4 HDs

Hi!

I'm considering buying a picopsu 150-xt to power up my nas/htpc (atom+4 green caviars).

Do you think this little psu will drive enough power to boot it up?

thanks!

Hehe, thanks for your opinion!

The problem here is that the info in the web looks like wrong. They state the case is 133 mm high, but don't say whether it is counting the feet on.

On other sites, they state it is 150mm, and hence my doubt :)

Anyone knows the height of the Chieftec HM without feet?

Hi all! I'm looking for a case that suits my needs for an HTPC (which looks like mission impossible). My final candidate is the Chieftec HM-02, which based on the Chieftec web is 133mm height. That's 6mm more than what I can fit (127mm), but perhaps taking the feet off could do the trick. http://www...

Thanks for the thread Mike!

Dell 2407FPW -> Whines slightly when brightness < 85. It is only audible at late night. From 85 to 100 is inaudible unless you put your ear on the back of the unit. Note that I'm extremely sensitive to high pitched noises, so having here a list of good-silent monitors to help us choosing our next di...

Sorry, pianomambo. Can you tell us what did you use to block the top hole (after removing the 200mm fan). It's like a piece of metal, but I can't tell. Also, have you tried the possibility of flipping the PSU fan so it acts as an intake fan? (maybe is a silly idea, I'm just wondering if you have tri...

As can be read in the article: The fan is one of Adda's, which has become popular among quiet PSU makers. It's from the same series used in Seasonic and Corsair PSUs, for example. The fan is soldered directly to terminals on the main PCB . You are right Mike, sorry about that. It seems that after 8 ...

Thank you very much Mike, Yes I know that every fan can be swapped (by cutting and joining cables), but I don't wan't to mess up welding. I know the fan is good too, based on your review, but I want to make all the fans in my system to be of the same maker in order to have a more "constant" sound. T...

Fan swap possible?

Hello again Mike,

Could I please know if the fan of this unit can be swapped.
After going through hundreds of reviews all over the net, I haven't found a single pic that shows if the fan is plugged (as in the 460w model) or welded.

Thank you very much again.

Fan swap possible?

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if it is possible to replace the fan of one of these corsair units with any other one?

I mean, is there any two/three pin plug inside the psu, or otherwise the fan is welded to the pcb?

Thank you very much!

One more question, I'm wondering which is the material where you lean the disk on. I mean, I know the HD is surrounded by a silver aluminum case, but then you put it inside the black enclosure, which has foam covering the 4 walls, and gel which avoids direct contact with the top wall, BUT: WHAT ABOU...

MikeC, can you tell me if the St60f has a high pitch noise when its fan is off?

Last two PSUs I have tested from other brands has that problem!
Does it mean that every high wattage psu has a high pitch noise?

I need a modular psu, so seasonic is not for me.
