you really don't need to worry about elastic suspension on the HDD's if you're going for the P180 (which i highly recommend, a brilliant, quiet, sexy case). The rubber suspension grommets in the P180 will isolate all the vibrations from the HDD's, plus the noise isolation in the case will eliminate ...

damnit my MX518 has this whine as well! I never noticed it till I read this post and stuck the mouse up to my ear. It's not overly loud, thankfuly, but it's definately there. Now it's going to annoy the hell out of me :( Time to search for a new mouse ten I guess... I'm going to write an email to Lo...

Well I gave this a go. Tried it on my MX518, and I should have tried it out on an old cheap mouse first. It worked for the most part. I got the litle bit of rubber band in between the metal and it really silenced it. Only did it to the right mouse button for now, to see if I like the feel of it. The...

Now that's a bit more realistic! Thats the stock fan that comes with the dual cores. Never installed it myself - I stuck with my Tt Typhoon. I plugged it in to test the fan though - bit loud for my likes, and has a definate whoosh noise to it. I guess you could undervolt it or swap it out... I got bored one night so decided to lap ...

Hmmm...how did you cut it to make it look clean? (Does the P180 have a similarly "bulbous" grille?) Any thoughts on how I should cut it? I'm thinking I could leave some of the hexagons near the screw holes (easier to get clean than cutting around the whole thing?). Actually -- I have a 120mm bimeta...

bit of an update: I was noticing some high temps and low frequency vibrations so I made a few modifications.
