Sweet... so when I come steal your EVGA card, by your logic I'll have a manufacturer's warranty without having any proof of purchase!

Sergei, I suggest you modify the link you've provided if you're worried about privacy. While the information will eventually expire, for now it's quite easy to find the shipping address you entered.

What is the "single slot" option for the Condor? I assumed that since the heat was being transferred to the large wing for dissipation, the piece that mounts directly to the card would only take up one slot and hence allow another card of whatever form factor be installed in the slot directly below ...

I can't even get nTune to run. Both the monitoring program and the actual nTune software completely freeze my system when I try to run them.

Incidentally, not that you'd necessarily be able to find one on its own at a reasonable price - but the AC/DC power brick for the Xbox 360 outputs 12V at around 18A (200W give or take). Connectors are obviously going to be proprietary, but it may be something for you guys to consider.

I'm waiting too, Andy. Not sure I'll be able to afford to shell out for the 400gig, but I'd like a respected opinion on the drive to compare to the 300 - maybe it would be worth it!

Haven't found the 400 available in Canada though, yet.

Alright, I've had a modicum of success. I took the stock heatsick off last night, and saw that the stupid square foam pad had a big dent in it, where it had been contacting the screw-lock mechanism for the CPU retention! No wonder my temps were craptacular. That pad wasn't interfering with the CPU, ...

Funny enough, I did find a 50mm fan at a local computer store. The one that came with the motherboard has a very annoying low pitched hum; I do not find it quiet at all. I'm not so sure that this replacement will be much better, but I don't think it could be any worse! I've also got a VF700Cu lying ...

I've had to do this with a Radeon 7000 and Radeon 8500LE; the heatsink was thermal epoxied to the chip. Put your card in the freezer for 20 minutes or so. Pull it out, place a soft cloth on the PCB to prevent damage, and gently but firmly pry the heatsink off. I had success twice, but there's NO GUA...

From measuring the new one, it's a 50mm fan - unfortunately, not a common size.

Hope this helps - I can post a pic of the heatsink in place if necessary. Not to bring this back from the dead, but I've just gotten a setup working with this motherboard, and I was hoping to try and replace the stock heatsink. Even though it's the larger model, it just doesn't seem to be doing a v...

Order it with the wing facing down, then.

$92US to Canada. It may be good, but it can't be that good. There are too many other options that will provide silence at a much lower cost.

The one shown at CeBit is for the X1300/X1600 products. It looks like that has now become the Accelero S3.

The S1 will be for the 7900GT cards, and apparently looks like what Arctic Cooling have pictured on their press release.

Wow, am I the only one that doesn't mind the (so-called) noise on the 360? I like my quiet. I've got an undervolted 3000+ with a Nexus 120mm fan, the GeForce6800 has a 5V VF7700Cu, powered with a Seasonic S12-430W all inside an Antec P180. It's the closest thing to silence I've got. And I don't mind...

Thanks man. I actually just found that information searching around a while ago. A local computer store can get a bracket in for $6 so I'll pick one up soon. At least I can still use the stock HSF for now - it's just not quiet!

Thanks for the help, it's appreciated.

SI-120 and 939Dual SATA2 no go!?

I thought the SI-120 was supposed to be more compatible, and so I ordered it for my Asrock 939Dual-SATA2 motherboard. Knowing that the XP-120 fit the board, I thought there'd be no problem. Until I tried to install it - the supplied retention mechanism does not fit the motherboard! They say to place...
